[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this attachment as a replacement for an original Spiralizer (manual crank), which was made primarily of plastic, and was insufficiently robust to handle anything harder than a zucchini squash. Also intend for the attachment to replace hand-crank apple peeler/slicer.
Very happy with the peeler/slicer function of the attachment, and mostly happy with the spiralizer portion. I have 2 complaints:

1. The attachment is insufficiently long to allow processing of full-length squash, so I have to cut each vegetable in half. This would a minor problem, except it is exacerbated by my second complaint.
2. The spiralizing function of the attachment stops with over an inch of the vegetable unprocessed. When combined with my first complaint, this problem results in a loss of nearly 3 inches of each vegetable processed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only used once, but I think I will use it a lot. Seems sturdy and built to last. Only complaint so far is the peeler. It only works on foods that are fairly big around, like apples and large potatoes. Will not work on small potatoes, carrots, etc., so they still have to be peeled by hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After watching the videos, apples were peeled, cored, and sliced to make apple sauce and apple butter. I discovered that the fruit must be firm, some had softened and would not work with the attachment. It truly made the job go much faster than doing everything by hand. I cannot wait to use some of the spiralizing blades for salads. Assembly was easy as was disassembly and clean-up. The box is so sturdy it serves very nicely as a storage case.

This is far easier and produces more consistent results, even I haven't even tried yet all of the extra features that make special cuts. Well worth the price, considering its reassuring durability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It will peel an apple if it is the right size and dimension, not effective for a potato. Spiralizer is a fun feature for kids. It's too short for many things.
