Easy dried apple rings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works very well, but I was disappointed that the largest slice is less than 1/4 inch. I wanted to use for apple slices in pies and to can, but these quickly turn to mush. Peeling is great for vegetables that are uniform shape, but my potatoes rarely are since they are red and yellow. I assume good for russets. All that said, thinner slices will work great for dehydrating. I haven't actually spiralized vegetables

Love my Zoodle maker!

I was interested in making zoodles, so I went to my local kitchen gadget store and purchased the only one they had in stock. It was more expensive than I imagined. I brought it home and after examining it noticed some drawbacks. Unlike my mother, I am not a kitchen gadget collector. So I looked at other options on the internet. The KitchenAid Spiralizer was highly recommended and not much more in price than the hand spiralizer from Asia I had purchased. So, I ordered one from KitchenAid. When it arrived, I was very happy with everything I saw. Then I used it and was thrilled! So is my husband. We like the box/case to hold all the pieces nicely. The zoodles were so easy to make. The assembly is easy and intuitive. I made a quasi pasta salad without pasta. It was delicious. The clean up was very easy. I was concerned that the main piece was just wiped down, until I realized that it doesn't touch the food. I like everything about my purchase, so I took the other machine back. The prices were comparable, but the value of the KitchenAid spiralizer hugely outweighed the other. Thank you for making such a good tool for my kitchen. We're having zoodles again tonight.
