[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the versatility and ease of use. This is a much more effective way to spiralize veggies. Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this for spiralizing zucchini and coring and slicing apples. I've only had it about a month, so not alot of time to try it out yet. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is those blasted plastic parts on it should be swapped out for metal. Metal that would hold up to the work it would get without bending it, not some flimsy tin-can type. This would be beneficial on the "pin" that holds the item to be spiralized/peeled/sliced. I'm thinking hard plastic won't hold up, a steel pin would. I'm only giving it 4 stars in the "Quality" part of the review too because of this.
I find that you waste a lot of zucchini and squash with this product. The spiked base which holds the zucchini on is much too small. It cannot get a grip on larger zucchinis because it only grabs into the seeded section. The base just drills into the zucchini and causes it to quit spinning. The only time I have any success with this is when I use it on small very firm squash.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried to make noodles with zucchini and yellow squash with no success. Forget about the mess with beets. If the vegetable is not perfect, hardily any skin is cut off. Very disappointed. I have the original metal accessories from my first Kitchen Aid purchased in 1960 and the blades are still sharp after all these years. In the 60's and 70's I canned vegetables with the big hopper and have used the little one for grinding and chopping nuts all these years. I wore out my old mixer and purchased a 5 qt so I could make bread. I love my machine and its too bad the spiralizer did not help me.
I just got my Spiralizer and tried to spiral my homegrown zucchini. Neither my husband nor I were successful in operating this product. The nail just spun and spun and the zucchini kept coming off the other end. We were hoping to spiral and freeze about 15 lbs of zucchini and now must think of other ways. I am returning this product. Very disappointed in this KA product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my birthday and I’ve used it quite a bit. I had a different, stand alone spiralizer that never worked properly so I was pleasantly surprised this has been so effective and easy to use. I’ve used it for sweet potatoes, zucchini and squash so far and thumbs up for all of those.
