Bought this a week ago at the beginning of Apple season. I flew thru a bushel of apples for apple sauce in less than 45 min. THANK YOU KITCHENAID! IM IN LOVE!!

Not good for apples

I bought this after using it in a cooking class to make an apple tart. It worked flawlessly in the class and I was so excited to try it at home. When I did try it, it peeled way too much skin off the apples—like almost 1/2 inch which just didn’t work well and wasted a ton of fruit. Did I purchase a faulty unit? So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this for spiralizing but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously love this for spiralizing! The multiple sizes available is GREAT!!
But I really dislike that I have to cut up a vegetable that is longer than 5 inches.. it wastes time having to replace and do another 2,3,4 inches of vegetable that didn't fit ... most of what I use is longer than the 5 inches this allows.
The peeler could have had a better spring allowing to accommodate smaller and larger veggie sizes. I couldn't peel potatoes unless they were large.
It was easier to just use a hand peeler.
If you do make revisions to your product, it would be nice if you offered previous customers a replacement for these 2 parts so they don't have to buy a new one. Now that would be a company that wants to keep their customers coming back to them... I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the spiralizer attachment about 2 weeks ago, and it has already been a game-changer! I make homemade sweet potato chews for my dog. Peeling and slicing sweet potatoes always leaves my hands hurting at the end of the process. This attachment takes all of the pain and headache away! It was supposed to be a Christmas present for me, but I just had to try it, and now I’m keeping it and will choose something else to be my Christmas present.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried to make noodles with zucchini and yellow squash with no success. Forget about the mess with beets. If the vegetable is not perfect, hardily any skin is cut off. Very disappointed. I have the original metal accessories from my first Kitchen Aid purchased in 1960 and the blades are still sharp after all these years. In the 60's and 70's I canned vegetables with the big hopper and have used the little one for grinding and chopping nuts all these years. I wore out my old mixer and purchased a 5 qt so I could make bread. I love my machine and its too bad the spiralizer did not help me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kitchen Upright Mixer and the 7 Blade Spiralizer are worth every cent! That have made my life so much easier! I was able to slice an onion without sobbing, mash a huge amount of potatoes without killing my shoulder and arm, spiralize zucchini and carrots in no time at all, etc. I can't wait to do even more! Love this machine!

Dissappointed & Waste of $$$

I received this for a holiday gift when it just came out. It works well on onions for onion strings. Everything else has either fallen off the spindle (cucumbers, zucchini) or doesn't cut (butternut squash, potatoes). Also, the attachment itself comes loose when in use. It needs to be re-designed/engineered. Now it sits in it's original box & I'm out $100. In the meantime, I purchased a Hamilton-Beach 4-in1 electric spiralizer & it works great! Made a raw sweet potato salad using it tonight. I own 2 additional small appliances, blender & food processor, by K.A. They worked very well. The blender does need repair b/c the black rubber spindle knubs broke. The food processor is fab except I wish there was a way to open up and clean the handle.
