HUGE Disappointment!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rarely fall for these types of kitchen gadgets, but really liked the idea of creating vegetable noodles and thought this might be a worthwhile mixer attachment. First, the device is much larger than I anticipated and the recommended storage box is quite large. Not sure where I'm storing this. Second, started out with a butternut squash. Read all directions and watched videos beforehand. The size of my squash met the requirements. The peeler kept getting stuck, so I removed it and peeled by hand. Tried spiralizer, and it too kept getting stuck and the skewer would not hold and continued to rotate inside the squash creating a mushy hole in the center. This made it even more difficult for the device to work properly. Lastly, a rather large portion of vegetable gets left on the skewer and does not go through the spiralizer. Very poor design. I will try other vegetables before giving up on this rather expensive attachment, but will definitely think twice the next time.

Apples, Apples, Apples

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you are gifted 2 1/2 bushels of apples, you need to get busy and get them peeled. If all I used this for was peeling I would have been thrilled. Of course, besides the peeling, I added coring and slicing. The house smelled terrific, pie shells were filled and frozen, the waste was used for making apple cider vinegar.
Now I can't wait to try spiralizing. Thank you for helping me knock out the apples without any cuts on my hands. The only negative that I may have is that the slicing is thin for pies, so I did do about a bushel of just peeled, and cut those by hand. Otherwise I love the Sprializer Plus with Peel, Core and Slice.

Not worth it

I have used this for peeling apples & making zucchini noodles. Takes too much of the peel off apple. Lots of waste and turns end time mush. Zucchini must be small. If larger, just pushes a hole into zucchini and does not spiralize. Have to physically push blade along. Lots of waste - loose the last inch of zucchini. Sad it doesn’t work for me.

I needed to peel 25lbs of apples, but after about 10 apples, it malfunctioned. The release handle would not stay on track and kept jumping, which in turn did not allow it to peel or core the apple. It's hard to slide the plastic piece over metal arm without anything on the spiralizer. Just too much friction!

Bought this for my zucchini and ours are just too large for this, it turns them to mush. Smaller zucchini half with stem works other side turns to mush. I have tried several times and very sad this just does not work for my zucchini

I tried to cut apples for a pie for our New Year's day diner. What a disaster. My husband had to cut what we could salvage of the apples we tried to peel, core and slice. This is going back tomorrow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to peel, core and slice apples for my dehydrator but it’s so much fun to play with all the options. Great addition to my 25 yr old Kitchen Aid mixer.
