[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just replaced my sprializer, apple peeler corer, due to my ignorance of putting the unit in my dishwasher. I find with Kitchen aid, they use a nasty metal when making accessories that cannot be placed into the dishwasher, and if you do, it continually smears a grey filmy coating on your hands or cloth you use to wipe it off with. I had that happen also with the metal beaters for my stand mixer. I like having the ability to peel my apples or potatoes with the spiralizer, which works great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have only used it on apples. Cannot wait until the garden is full in next summer. Made quick work of apple pie and baked apples.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our pear tree had all sizes of pears. Wasn’t sure it would work with so many different sizes. Never dreamed all the work would be done at once. But - It was a pleasure making my Gran’s Pear Honey (2 batches), Cinnamon and Spice Pear Jam (4 batches) and Pear Preserves (3 batches) in 2 days. I have arthritis and this accessory made it so easy and quick. AND it was all done on my 48 year old Kitchenaid mixer. (We even took that mixer to Germany with us, used it on transformer, and it is still going strong).
Wish everything would work like my Kitchenaid and it’s accessories- yes, I have all accessories too…I wish I had gotten this accessory sooner. You can do anything with it. Spiralizer, peel, core, slice….etc. Easy, Quick and FUN TO USE. My husband even enjoyed “playing” with it. We absolutely love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only tried zucchini so far, but love how easy the spiralizer is to attach and clean. Based on you-tube videos I've seen, there is endless potential for fast, but fancy looking meals.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appears to be high quality and is well packaged. Can use box for storage which is a plus. I used the peeler, corer, spiralizer to process about 1/2 bushel of apples. On the uniform size apples, the peeler worked well, but on apples with one side larger, once the peeler expanded to accommodate the larger side, it does not spring back to touch the smaller side, so I need to manually hold it gently against the apple. Still saved me tons of time, but I couldn’t turn away at all. Other than that, it was easy to put together, take apart and clean.
I have wanted this attachment for quite a while. I finally broke down and purchased it. My only complaint is with the peeler. If your potatoes or apples are small, the peeling is inconsistent. Don’t get me wrong, it saves me from having to peel and entire potato or apple, but I do still have to manually peel about 25% of the item. See video for example.
