Good toaster, for some bread

Toaster looks good, and toasts evenly; seems well made. However, for the bread our family likes to toast (dense, whole grain), even at the darkest setting and activating the frozen button (which adds a bit of extra time to the toasting program), we had to put the toast back down for a little extra time once or twice to get a decent brown.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
