So Far, So Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted this for a while, and I'm glad I finally splurged and bought it. I've only used it twice, and for relatively easy to blend ingredients. Overall, I found it easy to use and convenient. I love not having a cord to deal with. One problem is that you have to push two buttons to make it go, which meant I had to use both hands. Maybe there's a way to do it using only one hand, but I haven't had it long enough to figure that out. It would be better if you could use it with just one hand. Also, with the battery it's a little heavy, but that's worth it to me to not have the cord to deal with. For these reasons, I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5. I haven't used it enough to know if it's powerful enough to handle tough ingredients. I bought this to replace a very old, inexpensive hand blender, and it's a dramatic improvement from that one (haha). So far, I'm happy with the product

I had a corded immersion blender that has served me well over the years, but until now I had no idea what I was missing! The onboard rechargeable battery delivers steady cordless power that lasts and lasts, while the blending blades easily cut through all ingredients without any binding or problems. The variable speed settings ensure that the right rotation is achieved to mix or blend to your desired texture without splatter. I’ve really gotten into homemade soups lately and this device has taken my recipes to the next level - bends are consistently completed to the exact texture that I seek, with no lumps left behind. Clean up is a breeze with detachable parts of stainless steel construction. I really can’t say enough about the quality here - picking it up you immediately notice the mass and build quality that are details I’ve grown to expect and rely on from the KitchenAid brand. Handheld blenders are oftentimes the unsung heroes in our kitchens, but this one truly makes a difference and I simply cannot recommend it enough!

Perfect for making alioli

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm from spain and I'm used to hand blenders, which in my opinion are better than normal blenders for everything other than smoothies. If you need to mix something on a pot while you're cooking... bingo! to make a small portion of alioli... voila! It's all advantages. Cleans better, and with the steel construction I don't have to worry about warm stuff getting stuff out of plastic. It's quite powerful for being battery operated and the detachable blade can be thrown in the diswasher. My only complain is that battery and charger need to be purchased separately.

I was hoping for something easy to use and compact, and the fact that it’s cordless helps since I live in a small apartment. Prepping for Friendsgiving this year is less daunting!

Just what you need when you want a quick smoothie, a scrambled egg, or some whip cream! It has an easy and safe way to operate...grab the handle and press down the black portion of the on switch and then control the blender with the silver button...easy function! And clean up is a breeze!
