It leaks and makes horrible noises

After only a few months of use it leaks and makes horrible noise. Waste of money.

Bad design

After less than a year I am searching for replacement parts. We use the blender exclusively for fruit and veggie smoothies, 3-4 days a week. The base is powerful but the plastic carafe consistently leaks into the base and we find little bits of plastic on the counter after using it. Considering what we spent I am very disappointed—the cheaper brand I used before this one lasted much longer. At this point I’m debating whether to keep buying parts to fix it or just give up and go with another brand. I expected more from Kitchenaid, I’ve had my stand mixer for ten years and no problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

KitchenAid K400 Blender Awesome but not so awesome

I have gone through my share of blenders, name brand ones and no brand blenders. Even though I have only had this a couple weeks I new from the first time I used it that it was an awesome product. The power it has is amazing, each time I use it
produces great texture. The only thing is that after I used it to make a salsa it left a red tint on the jar container. I rinsed right after blending, that’s when I noticed the tint. I put warm water and soap then pressed the cleaning function just like the instructions recommended, but still the tint wouldn’t go away. Even though I love love the performance. Now I can’t leave it on my counter due to how the jar container looks. For the price of the blender this was a huge let down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it!

I purchased this blender in the Milkshake color a little over a month ago when my VitaMx started to need a major overhaul. I'm so glad that I went with this new unit over repairing my old friend. This blender does everything I need to do beautifully. I love it so much that I went back and ordered the drink blender and the small container sets. Love them too. I use this item nearly every day. It looks great on the counter. My most favorite thing to make in it is hummus -- easy, quick, and thorough. No complaints here; nothing but praise!

Powerful and Good-looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this new blender that replaced a 10yr old+ KitchenAid blender whose pitcher cracked and I couldn't find a replacement. I love the color and it looks great on our countertop. I make a protein shake for breakfast nearly every morning so I keep this out. It might be a bit heavy if you had to pull it up or down from a cabinet. It is definitely loud but I expected that for the power and it does a good job blending the ingredients to a creamy smooth texture. Only reason for 4 stars is because the measurement numbers and lines are nearly impossible to read and are in a spot that makes them even harder to see when you're trying to pour liquid in. Not sure I'll use the tamper much and I really with the accessory set for individual smoothies was in stock.

Excellent power and production

I use it almost daily to make smoothies and the texture it produces far exceeds the “other” blender I had been using. The automatic cycle is efficient and reliable. Cleaning is a breeze. It is also attractive on the counter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for myself as a birthday gift and I am so glad I did. A few months ago I accidentally mis-set the pitcher and it ruined the seal I contacted Kitchen-aid to purchase a replacement and was told I was still under warranty, however the pitcher was on back order. Fast forward 8 weeks and still no pitcher, I contacted Kitchen-aid again and instead of more waiting my entire blender was replaced! Amazing customer service!!

Stong blender, quite noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had ti return our first blender because the dial no longer worked, we just received our new one, it is definitely louder than original and the motor smells when it is running. It is not up to the old Ktchen Aid appliance standards.
