Average difficult to decipher symbols

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have no problem with the way this toasts but the symbols for different settings is really STUPID! Why not just words like toast, bagel, waffle etc??? Toasters are kind of an intuitive appliance, but I actually had to read the owners manual to figure out what the stupid symbols meant
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The toaster you want to leave out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid construction and good looks, sure to last for years. A welcome addition on my countertop to the Empire Red KitchenAid bowl-lift mixer. The various toasting mode options are nice features. My only gripe, I suppose, is I would expect slightly more even/uniform toasting between both sides and even amongst the same side, given the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toast does not brown evenly on both sides. So disappointed! Lots of buttons, little control. I am constantly standing over the machine. The red color is great, though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a reliable toaster that offers a lot of flexibility. I like the return to a manual push-down system because it returns control to the user. This machine might still be a bit overcomplicated, with buttons for features that I don't understand. Nevertheless, this is a good toaster.
