Best blender for smoothies I've ever had

This is the best blender for smoothies I've ever had (and that includes the previous 2 kitchenaid blenders I've had). Our family makes multiple smoothies every morning and this blends them perfectly in under 10 seconds. No lumps, no needing to stir to get it to blend, just press the button and it's done. We tried 2 other brands because we were hoping to find something less expensive but they just didn't work. Haven't made anything else but smoothies in it yet, but for our purposes this has been well worth the money. Hoping it lasts for many years.

Worked Well for a Year - Now a Nightmare

We received this blender as a wedding gift and were very excited! It has worked great for 1.5vyears, and now it is falling apart. It started with a small leak. Now the blade base has become very lose and the rubber gasket has fallen out, allowing leaking at a surprising rate. It led to smoking and damage to the base of the blender when plastic was grinding directly on plastic, also creating an awful smell. The only straightforward option is to replace the blender body, but I am worried we will just have to do it again in a year. For the price you pay, this is insane. And I can't get in touch with anyone on chat or support to discuss replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a Difference a new model makes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new K400 Blender cuts my time in half in the morning, trying to get everyone out the door. The K400 blends the smoothies in no time while I checking homework and backpacks! Thank you Kitchenaid from a relieved mother .

Better than I thought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Beast Blender that died. It was OK, not great. I did my research - Ninja, Vitamaster, K400 and others. I must say the K400 is fabulous for our daily smoothies. No clumps no matter if it’s hard or leafy veggies, fruit, powder, ice, etc. a GREAT addition to our kitchen. BTW love the auto wash function.

best blender

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this blender. I bought a ninja and the 5 speed diamond blender and did a side by side test. The kitchenaid diamond blender beat it hands down. I returned them both and purchased this one because it did more than the diamond blender. I love this blender! I've never had an iced drink so smooth! It's easy to use and the best blender I've ever had.

Better than Vitamix!

It is better than my NutribulletRX and Vitamix: just as powerful but doesn't leak as Nutribullet is prone to do, and costs less than Vitamix. Great for making smoothies!
