Samsung Fold: Screen Failed, Warranty Denied

Super disappointed with Samsung.
I loved this device, but the screen failed right at the hinge in the center. Samsung initially told me it was covered under their “discounted screen warranty,” so I shipped it in. Then I was told, “Unit was found not eligible for warranty screen replacement,” with no further explanation.

The failure was obvious: the screen popped into thin bright lines as soon as I opened it, and after just a few more opens, black liquid bled out from the fold. For a premium device, this kind of breakdown and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Flip 7 is easy to manage with one hand ,with everything being accessible from one hand. I am enjoying my first experience with a Flip series and look forward to future devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone has been working great and most activities can be done on the smaller front screen, including GPS. However, the battery does need to be charged once a day, since it's smaller. Also the cameras aren't as good as the regular S series phones. So it's a trade off.
