Major improvement over my Fold 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is wonderful and a major upgrade from the Fold 5 (F5). First, it's thinner and lighter. That is important because it slides into my suit jacket more easily. It fits in briefcases and pants pockets better. Also, you don't fatigue as much typing on the phone. I typically use mine fully opened for the larger screen so I feel the weight more.
The Galaxy AI is a major addition. I am still learning to use it but it has proven to be a time saver and valuable tool thus far. At this point I like it better then the Microsoft AI tool.
The keyboard seems more responsive, the screen clearer and the sound better. It also seems to "run" faster. I like that most of the commands in Settings are pretty much unchanged from the F5. It makes it easier to navigate and learn to use this phone.
I first went to the F5 because of the ability to have two phone numbers on one phone with a Sim card and eSim. COVID created the need to get office calls without being at my desk and the F5 was the perfect solution. I like having the two eSims now and not needing to fiddle with a Sim card. So far no issues with calls or texts on either line.
Finally, before I got my F5, I worked with a ohone and laptop, and used a tablet for quicker access. The Fold 5 and now 7 allowed me to get rid of the tablet (sorry, it was a Tab) and streamline things. This phone is an invaluable work tool for me and an enhancement over the F5. 5he only thing I miss from the F5 is the pen/stylus.

What I Love:
Sleek Thinness: The Z Fold 7 is noticeably thinner than its predecessors, making it more comfortable to hold and slip into a pocket without feeling bulky. This change alone makes daily use much smoother.
Impressive Camera Integration: Samsung’s decision to include a 200-megapixel camera in a foldable device is a major win. It captures incredible detail and elevates the Fold 7 beyond just being a productivity powerhouse.
Smooth Performance: The upgraded processor makes multitasking fluid, and the One UI experience feels polished and responsive. Whether browsing, gaming, or navigating between apps, the device handles most tasks effortlessly.
What I Didn’t Like
Lag in App Switching: While performance is generally excellent, I noticed occasional lag when switching between certain apps. For a premium device, these hiccups can feel disappointing.
No Built-in S Pen Support: One of the biggest letdowns is that the Z Fold 7 still doesn’t integrate the S Pen. Worse, Samsung has removed support altogether for this device. For a device designed to be a productivity tool, that omission feels like a step backward.

Love my Samsung Z Fold 7

My Z Fold 7 has performed beyond my expectations with its advanced AI features in photos, AI search, and Google's Gemini AI. The exceptional unfolded screen provided enhanced image and video quality. Amazing phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the zfold 7 is an amazing phone. The multitasking on it with the bigger screen is so much better. And the bigger closed screen is like using a normal phone. The Galaxy AI features are useful and fun. I find myself using Galaxy AI way more then I used other assistants or features. The screens makes videos and movies look amazing. I love how thin this phone is. Even though it's thin it feel like a premium phone (which it is). By far my favorite fold to date.

Hard to open

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Without fingernails, like actual length, not working man length, you really can’t open the thing. I do have a thin case on it, but this thing needs tabs or something to help open it. And the fingerprint reader hates me.

To ease opening, try using two hands—placing your thumbs on opposite sides and gently pulling apart. Adding a case can also enhance grip and make opening easier.
