I had the zFold 5 for a few years and just traded it up to the zFold 7. The zFold 5 was locked and this one is unlocked. That was a big reason for the trade up. From all of my research, the screen's mechanical technology has not changed and I expect the screen will delaminate at the fold eventually. But, what can you do if you want that huge real-estate? I will miss the pen. It is impossible to write with my finger unless I zoom in to write on the screen. But, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the fold 7, I've had all it's predecessors, and I'm pleased so far. My reason for the not perfect score it the battery life. Yes the phone is so thin now, but the battery life is not good. I purchased this phone originally because I'm a reader and it's like having a kindle at all times. My fold 6 would most of the time last all day. I'm lucky to get half way through my day without needing to charge now. Most of the features seem the same as before, still love the split screen. Haven't used the Galaxy AI function really, not going to lie. It freaks me out. To much terminator as a kid I guess. All in all, just as happy with this phone as I've been with the previous!

Hello there Kk3pink,
Thank you for being a long-time Samsung user and a fan of the Galaxy Z Series; your perspective really shows. It’s wonderful to hear how much you’re enjoying the slimmer design, the “always-with-you” reading experience, and the split-screen features you’ve loved across generations. Your insights on battery expectations are helpful, especially coming from someone familiar with previous models. Since you've shared your battery insights, we wanted to provide you with some resources that explain how to get the most out of your device’s battery. And your comment about Galaxy AI made us chuckle a little, but your honesty feels so genuine and relatable. We appreciate you sticking with Samsung through every generation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Fold , if you do multi tasking.. this is the best device.. improved all around from previous versions
I used Motorola forever because I liked shaking my phone to turn the light on and they were cheap. But this phone is so so so so so much better. The camera is top tier and it's so cool that it turns into a tablet. It's very light weight and thin.
I love the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold line. I love how much thinner it is when not folded and how big the screen is. I like the camera, but the lens does make it hard to wireless charge with some surfaces.
I would recommend this to a friend!
