The USB Hub for the Stream Deck+ brings tons of new opportunities for your device in a usually great spot on your desk. Extra ports are always welcome, Super high speed, a lovely MicroSD slot to load in the photo's and video's.
A real must have! I've been loving mine

Convenient expansion, but not a hub replacement

This is a convenient expansion to the Stream Deck but not a replacement for a more complete USB hub. My main disappointment is that it cannot support a USB-C monitor; something my existing USB-C hub could do at a very similar price.
The USB hub comes with an adhesive pad that means it won't be going anywhere, but on the other hand it means that it won't be going anywhere -- making it harder for me to remove it and go back to not using it.
I'm sticking with it for now but it does have the side effect of complicating my setup rather than simplifying it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for the thoughtful breakdown — and we appreciate that you'd still recommend it despite the mixed feelings. You've raised a fair point about USB-C monitor support, so it's worth explaining what sets these two types of hubs apart. Driving a display over USB-C requires DisplayPort Alt Mode — a dedicated video protocol that needs its own display controller chip, video signal processing, and significantly higher bandwidth. A typical 1080p60 monitor alone requires around 6 Gb/s of throughput. General-purpose USB-C hubs that include video output are built around these components, which is what enables that functionality. The USB Hub for Stream Deck + is engineered differently — it's a data and power hub purpose-built to sit behind Stream Deck +, providing four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an SD/microSD/CompactFlash card reader, and up to 65W Power Delivery to charge your laptop. It's designed to expand your Stream Deck + into a central connection point for your creator peripherals rather than to replace a display dock. While the price may look similar to a general-purpose hub, the investment here goes toward tight hardware integration with Stream Deck +, Power Delivery and a nice form factor. Fair point on the adhesive pad — it's designed for a secure, permanent attachment to Stream Deck +, which is great for stability but does make it a commitment. Thanks again for the detailed feedback — happy creating!
