[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to use battery saver but to use the new features you can't use that so that is tough. Wish the battery was better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The watch has great features but lacks in battery. The Samsung health features are what I use to kinda stay in shape. This watch connects well with my S25 ultra.

Familiar Feel with Minor Upgrades
on August 8, 2025
Posted by: DocSunshine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Watch 8 delivers solid performance with much-improved battery life, lasting a full two days compared to older models that barely made it through one. It integrates well with Samsung Health, tracking fitness and wellness reliably, and some AI health aids are promising, though not all work consistently.
Despite Samsung promoting AI integration, the Watch 8 feels largely like past Galaxy Watches with only minor changes. Some menu mapping has been altered, making it harder to locate essential apps and customize quick access. Instead of easily setting up your preferred apps for quick scrolling, it’s more of a “find it where it is” experience.
The addition of Gemini is nice in theory, but in practice, it can be frustrating — the watch often takes over instead of letting Gemini answer on your phone, even when your phone is nearby. Samsung also preloaded Google Messages despite switching to Samsung Messages, resulting in rogue texts that appear only on the watch. This is likely tied to the dummy LTE phone number, which has been inconvenient to manage.
While the Watch 8’s improvements in battery life are a welcome change, it lacks meaningful new features or AI integrations that set it apart. It’s essentially the same Galaxy Watch you’ve seen before, with small tweaks that may or may not improve your daily use.

Great Wearable, But a Few Annoyances
on August 12, 2025
Posted by: Sblake23
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 for a little while now, and overall, it's a solid smartwatch. The design is a big plus—it's incredibly lightweight and sits flush on my wrist, so it's comfortable to wear all day without feeling bulky. I also really like the new watch band system; it's a huge improvement and makes swapping bands a breeze. The watch is very responsive, and I've experienced no lag or delays when navigating through apps or notifications. The battery life is decent, getting me through about 24 hours on a full charge, which is pretty standard for a smartwatch. However, I do wish it charged a bit faster. One of the biggest downsides for me has been using Google Gemini. It's often not very responsive, and my phone usually activates first when I try to wake it on the watch. It’s a minor frustration, but one I hope can be improved in future updates. Despite a couple of small issues, the Galaxy Watch 8 is a great device and a definite upgrade.

Great watch, but one annoyance
on August 22, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watch. It is a nice upgrade from the 6! It's much faster. It has some devent upgrades like Galaxy AI which def makes what I'm trying to do easier & quicker. I like that it sits more flush to the wrist too which is a massive plus for me. The one thing that I dislike (& almost caused me to send it back) is that your old watch straps are now obsolete. They don't work with this watch as this version has quick release tech for band removal/attachment. I have a nice collection of bands so this is upsetting. I wish they didn't do this, but I understand why they did. Hopefully they go back to the previous strap release soon. I will say, the quick release is extremely convenient...just wish they sold adapters so that we could use our older watch straps. I bought a nice stainless steel one (see photo). Overall, it's a 7/10 for me.
Switched from Watch 7 that was giving me 2 days max battery life to Watch 8 getting 1 1/2. A big turn off
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
