A premium device with a bad charger port...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had both a Fold 6 and Fold 7. The charger port only works for a months on both devices, and then all kinds of warnings about foreign matter or moisture. No matter how you attempt to rectify the issue, nothing works. Now it will only charge wirelessly. This happened on both the 6 & 7. I expected more with such a premium device. Other features are great, AI features are best in class, and no other phone makers can match. Great device, but if you can't plug it in, it's a brick.

If there is any moisture in your device’s USB port, charging will be disabled as a safety measure to protect your phone from damage and corrosion. If you see a water drop icon indicating moisture detection, turn off your device and allow it to dry completely. If the icon persists and you continue to experience charging concerns, try clearing your USB cache.

Before following the steps below, ensure that your device’s software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device’s software, follow these steps:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Software update**.
2. Tap on **Download and install**.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If your device displays the water drop icon even though it is completely dry and free of moisture, and you still have charging concerns, try clearing your USB cache. This should help resolve the system error.

**To clear your USB cache:**
1. From **Settings**, navigate to **Apps**, then tap the **Filter and sort** icon.
2. Enable **Show system apps** by moving the switch to the right, then tap **OK**.
3. Scroll to **USB Settings** and tap **Storage**.
4. Tap **Clear cache** located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Additionally, try using a different charging cable, as moisture may be present in your current cable, which could trigger the moisture icon. If you are charging in a high-condensation area, such as a kitchen or bathroom, latent moisture may be causing the error. Try charging in a drier environment. If the problem persists, use a different charging cable as mentioned above.

If you continue to see the same error message, you can submit an error report through the Samsung Members app in real time. The Samsung Members app offers a growing library of content to help you use your Galaxy phone or tablet, including troubleshooting tips, articles for any concerns you may have, and diagnostic tools to test your device’s functions.

My device is a fold 3. It was an overall outstand.

The only problem i had with the fold 3. Was the fold screen gave me issues. So i never really got the full experience of the phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Phone is great; I love having the access to have a folding phone and an easy typing machine with multi tasking accessibility right in my pocket. You may not use the folding much but its great when you need it. I use AI a lot with my job and its great for fixing errors with my pictures or using a translator right on hand.
