The one phone to rule them all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending a week with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, I can confidently say: this is the first foldable that feels like it was built for everyday life, not just tech enthusiasts.
First off, the design. It’s noticeably thinner and lighter, with a wider 6.5-inch cover display that finally feels natural to type and scroll on. Unfold it, and the 8-inch AMOLED screen is bright, smooth, and perfect for multitasking. It also feels more durable than ever with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Samsung’s new Armor FlexHinge. Plus, IP48 protection means dust and water resistance are finally here.
But the real game-changer? Galaxy AI.
It’s not just a gimmick—AI actually enhances how you use this phone. The Generative Edit tool lets you remove unwanted objects from photos, intelligently fill in backgrounds, and even suggest edits automatically. I took a photo at a crowded café, tapped “suggest erase,” and in seconds, the clutter was gone. Clean and polished—no Photoshop skills needed.
Galaxy AI also powers Live Translate, which is perfect when messaging or calling someone who speaks another language. It translated a call in real-time with a French colleague, and it actually worked without lag or awkward phrasing. There’s also Note Assist, which automatically summarizes my chaotic work notes into clean, bullet-point recaps.

Features, size and AI features are great

Best phone I've ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often update my phone and I've wanted a foldable for years but they always seemed lacking to my ultra. I was hesitant to upgrade my ultra to a fold with all the negative stuff I heard. I made the switch for my company so I could use it for marketing material and this thing is phenomenal. Not only can I make hands free videos with ease but I can also use my phone flashlight to stay in intricate spots while I'm by myself making this the greatest companion for my one man show company. On top of that it's incredibly productive to look at important docs and sheets on the go. I'm kinda of sad to miss the pen and the camera from my ultra, in that sense it feels like a downgrade, but with the added benefits of hands free productivity I think it makes it a fair compromise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just upgraded from the Fold 4 and glad I did. I just love the multitasking you're able to do with the Fold series, whether it beemails, spreadsheets, online shopping or just watching a video on the side. With this phone being the lightest phone ever and what I'm able to do all together just makes switching back to a traditional phone difficult.
Another thing that really take things to the next level is the Galaxy AI. Photo editing with this Ai tool is so easy, you just circle and delete what you don't want and being able to see the differences side by side to compare the two is a nice feature to have.
With all this being said the only reason for not having 5 stars is the battery size. Although Galaxy AI is used to help optimize battery usage, not putting in a bigger battery when all other foldables have opted to is a little dissapointing.

Overall, this is a huge leap forward for the Fold series. The Fold 7 is ergonomic and well proportioned now. Gone is the skinny and unoptimized front screen, it now resembles and functions as well as a bar phone. Then, once you open it up, you have a mini tablet, and many apps are now optimized better to function better on it. The part that is lacking and the reasoning for taking a star off is for a couple reasons. One, the battery is unchanged in capacity from the Fold 6, and the phone barely lasts until after dinner. Not reassuring if you’re taking it on the go for the day, especially if you are using it in tablet form moreso. The second problem is the fingerprint scanner location and functionality. It sometimes works, if you can properly find it.
Overall, a well designed device with a lot of pluses from prior models and updates, but also with some missed opportunities for upgrades.
I would recommend this to a friend!
