A Solid Foldable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from the Z Fold 6 to the Z Fold 7 due to the thin design and light weight of the Z Fold 7. It's a whole new device. I dont miss ths digitizer as Im starting to use voice input more and more.
The multitasking comes in handy when I need to bounce between two apps. Of course the floating windows are great when you need quick access to a pop up app.
Wired and wireless charging speeds are OK. I do wish the speeds were faster. I am. Noticing I'm needing to charge the device by late afternoon with moderate use... light streaming, sportsbetting apps and random websites of interest.
Debating if I want to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 but not sure I want to compromise the screen space for a lighter phone and passport style form factor...

Terrible warranty service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My device had a non working inner screen. I was told it was due to physical damage ascertained by the twisted piece at top of the fold inside. THAT HAPPENED WITH NORMAL USE within the first couple of months. It was my first(and likely my last) fold so I didnt realize it was a malfunction

If the inner screen stops working while you're still getting used to it, that definitely needs to be looked into, especially since it’s considered normal use. I'd recommend reaching out to Samsung Support with your service number, proof of purchase, and any pictures of the issue. Make sure to ask them about their inspection findings and if there’s a chance for a second assessment. Coverage will really depend on the inspection results and warranty terms. Great phone but would be better with SPen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Z Fold for everything. This is my 3rd one. I'm rating it a 3 only because I feel like Samsung took away convenience for size. I would rather have a larger ounce and still have the ability to use my SPen. I prefer the larger screen of the Fold over the Galaxy phones. I use my phone for notes, working on files, emails, and games. Using a stylus is so 80s and is no as precise as the SPen. Bring back the digitizer.

Good But Could Be Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold bec of it's foldable feature. As a musician, I need to bring a tablet to my gigs to see better. But with the Z Fold, I have a tablet and phone in one. As a music teacher, lyric videos are easier to read. I like how I can have a tuner or other music app open as well as a metronome while I practice. Aside from the advantages of the fold, this phone is easy to hold, fits well in my hand.
The Galaxy Z Fold can improve further by making it with sturdier material. I dropped it once and the camera lenses broke. The switch button is sometimes hard to open by sense of touch. Some apps, like photo and video editing, don't work as well with this phone. The buttons at the bottom don't show on the Z's screen. The speaker is adequate but I wish it could sound louder.
All in all, I love this phone and really glad I got it!

I've have done so much more mobile photography with this phone. I can't wait to upgrade to the z fold 8 just to see what that camera can do. Samsung keep up the good work love your product.

Disappointing for a Premium Phone. I love samsung!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love my Fold 8, but unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. For such an expensive premium phone, I expected much better performance and screen quality.
One of the biggest problems is overheating. The phone gets noticeably hot during normal use, which is frustrating and makes me concerned about long-term performance. I have also experienced lag on the screen, where the phone does not always respond as smoothly or quickly as it should.
The crease down the middle of the folding screen is also much more noticeable than I expected. I understand that a folding phone may have some type of crease, but at this price point I expected it to be less distracting.
The most concerning issue is a strange round imprint that has appeared on the screen. It almost looks like a keyboard or circular pressure mark underneath the display. It is very noticeable and makes the screen look damaged or defective.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the Fold 8. Between the overheating, screen lag, noticeable center crease, and the strange imprint on the display, this does not feel like the premium experience I paid for. For a flagship device at this price, Samsung needs to do much better with quality control and durability.
