[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the first foldable to successfully replace both a phone and a laptop. While the hardware is finally thin enough for daily carry, the combination of Samsung DeX and the new Microsoft Windows App transforms it from a gadget into a powerful thin client.
Highlights: For Work (The Windows App Advantage): This is the killer feature for remote work.
Full Windows on DeX: By launching the Windows App (formerly Remote Desktop) within Samsung DeX, you can stream your full Windows 11 Cloud PC or Azure Virtual Desktop to a monitor.
Zero Compromise: This setup supports mouse, keyboard, and external monitors perfectly, letting you run full desktop applications (like full Excel or SAP) securely from the cloud without carrying a laptop. AI Assistants: Transcript Assist auto-summarizes meetings, and Note Assist formats messy scribbles into professional notes instantly.
For Personal Use: A massive leap in camera quality (200MP) matches "Ultra" phones. The 8-inch screen offers immersive gaming, while Interpreter Mode utilizes both screens for seamless travel translation. The "Magic": Galaxy AI removes friction. Features like Circle to Search and drag-and-drop integration with Gemini make moving data between apps effortless.
The Trade-offs: Battery: Lasts a full work day, but streaming a Cloud PC via the Windows App on 5G can drain it faster than standard use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew that they'd advance the Z Fold Series, but the Z Fold 7 is more than just a phone. The thin design is something I've been looking forward to in a phablet in years. The amount of multitasking I've done within this phone had been great...... and with no lag either!
I like the software as well as the ability to have a fast response time when it comes to mobile gaming. The only downside to this phone is the lack of S-Pen support This is a great conversation starter and a phone that's worth keeping for a long time.
Anyone that wants to know what Android can do for you, the z fold 7 is quite the experience to take advantage of
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's like having a regular phone then when you open it up its a tablet, I have had it for a bout a month now and really enjoying it. Plus with all the black Friday discounts it made it easier to buy. I think foldables are the future and Samsung is leading the way. Now please add the spen back in for Z Fold 8
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the galaxy ai function and the multi view triple screen gives room for lots of accessibility. Phone quality is phenomenal and pairs well with the 8a watch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Fold 7 with Galaxy AI has been a great upgrade over the Fold 3 that I had until recently. The lifespan of my Fold 3 was actually quite good all things considered. The Fold 7 is much faster and smoother to use. With the ease of transferring from the old device, I had this setup and the only thing I had to do were some minor customizations. I dislike the fact that they did away with the blended camera on the main screen. On many apps I now have a camera lens where there should be screen. Most apps I can ignore that issue though. I don't use the Galaxy AI as much as other users. I tend to use other voice companions.
