This phone is great! I like how thin it is to earlier models. The smaller screen has a bigger face on it. It is working very well for me so far. I did the trade in and feel I got a great deal.
Pros : Blue color pops. Improved battery life and cameras. The zoom is phenomenal. Slightly wider main screen. Magsafe charging capability. The slim build is great and much lighter than previous models.
Cons - The main screen would be prefect at 3in wide. A built in magsafe magnet would be better. The camera lens placement should be horizontal because it doesn't allow you to use magsafe wallets and batter charges. You have to position them diagonal so it's pointless.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had the Z-fold series phones 4-7, and i can say all were positive experiences until the 7 became a defining experience. engineering at its finest samsung delivered a phone that has me using as much as my daily driver S24 ultra. From design to the Samsung AI functionality, it has become the reason I even leave my tablet home on weekend trips. if you're an early adopter, you will appreciate where its come for the 7th iteration. Of you're still on the fence of foldable, this would be the year to test rather or not they are worth the hype. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre-ordered as most did, so there was a roughly two-week span of anticipation prior to receiving my new Z Fold 7. During this time, I read reviews, and watched videos about first impressions and shortcomings. I have to say, there is no experience like your own.
When it arrived, it came in a fairly unassuming box. Holding this incredibly thin device in my hand was amazing. It seemed impossible that this design was viable, let alone mass-produced. As I gave it my first thorough inspection, as slim as it is, I could tell how well designed it really was. Powering it on and seeing the very brilliant display I was accustomed to in other previous Galaxy flagship phones I have owned, simply left me grinning from ear to ear.
Now with two weeks under my belt (and an appropriately slim but durable case), I have come to truly appreciate this device more and more. The only negative I have personally experienced was a small lag between front and internal displays when switching from one to the other, but given the first update I received just a few days ago, it seems to have addressed this. From the brilliant display, the seemingly impossible foldable screen, and the wonderful fast processing, I am finding new ways to be more productive and enjoy this device immensely. Even the Galaxy AI has seemed to step a notch, with processing and capabilities. I cannot recommend the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 enough! yet another reason I am happy to have left the Apple life so many years ago.
This is the top-notch phone they've ever made. But, the outer display is what everyone's been griping about. We nailed this one. Samsung, you've got to step up your game. I'm really into this phone. The fact that it's thinner is a huge plus. My only issue is with the battery life.
