Great phone, not so great OneUI

I use a few apps but not many
I use a few apps but not many
I use it because I can see it, I am older and it helps me see better when reading emails/texts etc
I do not use Samsung AI at all
I do not like the latest OneUI update, it made some things a hassle, like when I attach my phone to my PC it defaults to charge only, instead of making the files available to see, I have to go into USB settings to allow it now and it resets EVERY SINGLE TIME I reattach my phone by USB to my PC

Switching from a ultra to fold was exciting. After a few weeks the design of the fold hasn't worn off. But the battery leaves me disappointed. I find myself charging it twice a day

This phone doesn't use the best stylus technology

The phone has an amazing camera, and the graphics are superior to anything I've ever seen. But, I was greatly disapointed to find out that I paid what I did for this device, and it doesn't have the type screen that supports the advanced stylus technology that comes with the Galaxy S25 phone. I do a lot of graphic art, and I do a lot of image editing. Not having the advanced screen technology is a deal breaker. According to what I have sence discovered, dumping the more advance screen technology was a trade off to keep the phone light while providing the larger screen. I would rather have a heaver phone than to lose the capabilities of the advanced screen. I would not have bought this phone if I knew this before I bought it. The information is probably out there somewhere, but I did not find it or see it when I was reading about this phone while making my decision. So it wasn't readily visible. On the other hand, if you are not big on using the stylus for the work you do on your phone then it is probably okay to go for this model. There are some stylus you can get that work with the Fold7 but they work with a much older, less advanced technology.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I can't get over how much of an improvement it is! I have had the Galaxy Z fold 3,4 and 6 and I have enjoyed them I did not plan on getting the 7...until I discovered how it overcame the main complaint I had about it's predecessors; the weight! The Galaxy Z Fold series has been revolutionary in it's foray into the world of foldable mobile devices. no one can deny that. But in it's 6th generation device I found while still an amazing piece of machinery, the fact that my hand suffered from phone fatigue due to the weight on long calls a bit annoying after having 4 iterations of the same device with little improvement. The Z Fold 7 addressed this issue well. when closed the phone is no thicker than the current generation I-phone and when open it's super light and thin. Your mileage may vary depending on the protective case you use but I got a Torras 360 for protection while maintaining the thin aesthetic. The software is responsive and smooth. and multi-tasking is a breeze when open as it allows 3 open apps at once.
After almost a month of use I see an improvement over the last generation of Z Fold strong enough to sway anyone who is still on the fence about trying out a foldable phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!
