Volume Key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *I think the volume key should be on the screen that folds up. * Honesty I'm a huge Samsung fan. But I was very disappointed in the fold. Samsung needs to keep the pen! * Samsung advertised the fold for business users!! Add the pens back!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 stands as a powerful testament to the progress of foldable technology, a device that has successfully refined many of the criticisms leveled at its predecessors. It boasts a sleek, lightweight design, stunning displays, a best-in-class processor, and a vastly improved camera system. On the surface, it is a triumph of engineering and a genuinely compelling option for those seeking a singular device for both productivity and media consumption. However, this impressive achievement is fundamentally undermined by a single, catastrophic flaw: the inherent fragility of its inner main display. The reported failure of the screen from a simple, low-force interaction—a case study at the heart of this analysis—is not an isolated incident but a symptom of a systemic vulnerability that contradicts the manufacturer's bold durability claims. This review concludes that while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 pushes the boundaries of smartphone technology, its core promise of a durable and reliable device is broken. The high cost of repair and documented susceptibility to everyday pressure damage represent a significant financial and functional risk for the consumer. Its fatal flaw in fundamental reliability prevents it from being a practical choice for the general public. If I knew the inner screen could be damaged by pressing a app to open it, I would have kept my I phone 15 pro max. If Samsung doesn't help rectify the issue, it may be my last Samsung.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Galaxy Z Fold7. We value your input and appreciate your detailed thoughts. Regarding screen durability concerns, Galaxy Z devices feature multiple protective layers and undergo testing to handle daily use, all while preserving their slim, foldable design that makes them distinctive. The durability of the device comes from Samsung’s foldable OLED technology. The Galaxy Z Fold7 has passed a 500,000-fold durability test conducted by Bureau Veritas, a global testing organization, highlighting its impressive resilience. It’s also the first Samsung display to boost the Ultra Thin Glass by 50%, greatly improving impact absorption. Many users enjoy the immersive display and multitasking capabilities unique to the Galaxy Z Fold7. Thank you for choosing Samsung’s innovative technology. -Ty

Technological marvel. I used to have fold 5, traded in for fold 7. The difference is terrific and all positives. 1. Front display is regular phone size compared to narrow display. I was ok with fold 5 but feel great with fold 7. 2. Bigger phone than fold 5. 3. Unfolded, fold 7 has much smaller crease, barely noticeable 4. Top of the line camera: fold 5 didn't have top of the line camera. Fold 7 has.. 5. Best of all: Thin and light... Much lighter than fold5. Kudos 👏 💐 🥳 6. Trade in option. I would've never been able to afford this phone without this option.
Wish list: 1. Same battery size as fold 5. Would've liked to see more, but well; it's alright.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The New standard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first picked up the Z Fold 7, I was shocked at how not clunky it is. Folded, it’s just 8.9mm thick and 215 grams—lighter than a Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is wild for a foldable. Unfolded, it’s a crazy 4.2mm, the thinnest book-style foldable out there, beating out the Honor Magic V5 by a smidge. It’s not just numbers; it feels awesome in your hand, like a regular flagship phone. The hinge is smooth, with a satisfying snap that doesn’t wobble or creak like older models. Samsung says it’ll survive 200,000 folds, so I’m not worried about it falling apart. The frame’s made of this new Armor Aluminum, and the cover screen and back use Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Victus 2—tough stuff. It’s got an IPX8 rating, so it can handle a dunk in water (1.5m for 30 minutes), but no dust protection, so keep it away from sand. I got the Jet Black version (there’s also Silver Shadow, Mint, and a cool Blue Shadow online exclusive), and the matte finish doesn’t turn into a fingerprint mess. It comes in four colors, and I dig how sleek the black looks. But it’s so thin, I’m paranoid about dropping it. The camera bump makes it wobble on a table, and without a case, it feels like holding a fancy glass sculpture. Samsung throws in a slim case, which is nice, but I’d grab a sturdier one if you’re clumsy. Honestly, this is the first Z Fold I’ve carried every day without feeling like I’m lugging a brick. It’s a phone when I’m running around, a tablet when I’m chilling—best of both worlds.

Hi Elon Tron, Thanks for sharing your experience with the Galaxy Z Fold7. Battery life is vital for users who want to enjoy the large display and multitasking features of this foldable device. The Fold7 is designed to balance power, performance, and portability for daily use. It offers settings and features to help you monitor and extend battery life. You can view battery performance and enable power-saving modes as needed to prolong battery life. In the Device care menu, you'll find an estimated battery life based on recent activity and can see how much battery each app consumes. To access this, go to Settings, then swipe to and tap Battery. The usage details appear in the center of the menu. Tap View details to see app usage, Screen on time, and Screen off time, which help identify battery drain sources. For additional tips, see the online article linked below on optimizing your Galaxy Z Fold7’s battery. Comparing your experience with previous Fold models offers valuable insights into how expectations grow with each update. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for being part of the Samsung community. Get the most out of your Galaxy phone or tablet battery https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002534/
