Apple to Samsung Switch – A Flip Worth Taking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switching from Apple to Samsung, especially within an Apple-devoted family, is no small move. But the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 made it worth it. The transition wasn’t without its challenges, especially with carriers and navigating Android for the first time, but the customization, compact design, and functionality are undeniable wins.
The Flip 7 folds down to the size of a mint box, easily slipping into my pocket. Yet, when unfolded, it reveals a large, vibrant HD display that rivals top-tier smartphones. The creased center is barely visible or felt, a huge improvement that makes it feel seamless. The dual front-facing cameras paired with the outer screen give creators a high-quality viewfinder for content, no more relying on weak selfie cams.
Customization is where Android shines. From lock screens to widget placement, theme tweaks to multitasking panels, this phone feels truly mine. Samsung’s One UI, paired with Galaxy AI, opens new levels of accessibility and productivity. I’m excited to use Galaxy AI for efficient work, creative storytelling, and academic writing to support me through my dissertation and doctorate program.
Yes, adjusting to life outside the Apple ecosystem takes effort, but the freedom and power of the Flip 7 outweigh the familiarity I left behind. It’s a bold, futuristic device that proves compact doesn’t mean compromise. For now, I’m glad I flipped, literally—and hopeful for what comes next.

I've been a Samsung customer for decades now and I'm so excited to explore the possibilities of this brand new flip phone. Cautiously going to approach the Galaxy AI features... And see if there's any potential for them to be used in my phone usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone was very easy to upgrade from a previous version. Changing the SIM card was a breeze, but I think the phones should come with a new SIM card. I like the larger screen on the outside. It's easier to read. There is no fold in the middle of the main screen, at least as received. I have not yet tried the Galaxy AI as yet. Will take some getting used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Galaxy Ai is such a useful tool. The z flip 7 has an amazing screen matched with a fantastic front screen. You can handle almost everything while folded. I am coming from using iPhone for the past 10 years and I'm loving the Zflip 7
