Flip 7 compact and versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from the Z-flip 4 and what an upgrade! Love the full cover display and ability to use full apps, some things require you to open the phone but I'm sure that could be fixed with some programming updates. The Galaxy AI is one of the best AI operating platforms I've used so far, easy to use and easy to access from photos and messaging to work documents the Galaxy AI has come in quite handy. One of my favorite features is the selfi mode on the cover display with palm capture, I'm able to get everyone in a single photo easily so nobody gets left out playing the camera man. The sturdy feel of the new hinge is another big highlight for me and how the inner screens set flush with no gaps when closed. I would consider this one of the best foldable phones on the market today and would definitely recommend.

The performance of the video, camera, and Galaxy AI functions impeccably. Galaxy AI is effortlessly used from across all of my devices including Google. I appreciate the ability to multitask between work and professional settings. I particularly enjoy the option to customize all my features. I appreciate the open or closed mode functionality when operating my phone.

Still new to me, but I really like the way the phone fits in the palm of my hand and slides easily into a pocket. The ergonomics when folded are excellent - I only wish that Samsung provided a native way to access apps on the cover screen. IMO it's a little baffling that they haven't - that they still restrict the cover screens to widgets and dumb static graphics. When open the ergonomics are a little wonky due to the need avoid the hinge area for buttons etc. This means that to reach the volume and power/fingerprint reader you need to slide your hand up a bit, which can be done with one hand but is probably not a good long term technique. That inner screen is also vulnerable given that it has nearly no bezel and any phone case can't do anything to help as it would otherwise impinge on the clamshell closing tightly. The recommendations almost all suggest getting a warranty - I definitely agree.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my 2nd Samsung Flip phone, and I love it!! The front screen on the Flip 7 is much bigger, and more useful than previous models. Battery charges very quick, and lasts pretty long. Great phone!!
