First Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a retired appliance technician and have long been familiar with Bosch's engineering and design. Our eight-year-old mid-level dishwasher (builder installed) needed more repair than it was worth so my wife went with my suggestion we try a Bosch. She is very pleased with that decision. I had worked on them for customers (along with almost every other brand) but this is my first experience cleaning my own dishes with a Bosch in my home. It is doing a great job. I put in a crock pot with a very cooked on "bathtub ring" with no real expectation of it coming off. This dishwasher scoured it clean. My wife loves the horizontal top silverware tray. We even removed the lower silverware basket to make more room because the top holds so much without any spooning. This model uses less water on a comparable cycle with the one we replaced and it runs for about an hour less as well. It has no exposed heating element but dries non-plastics completely. We are thoroughly satisfied with this dishwasher. And in case it matters, all Boschs are quiet.

My Bosch Dishwasher

Too wet, too small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would not recommend for more than a single person; tines are frozen in place so can only take flat dishware. Most disappointing is the drying system which leaves you to hand dry all dishes and silverware

Near perfection, but not quite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like our Bosch dishwasher. It's as quiet as promised, which is much appreciated by those who have had noisy dishwashers (like us ;>). And it does a great job of cleaning our dishes. Two primary suggestions: surely Bosch can figure out a way to dry the dishes better. This isn't a big deal - we were advised of it before purchase - but there's room for improvement. However, the main thing for us is that all the tines in the bottom rack are pointed at an angle, which makes it difficult to place larger items. Your dishwashers should have a number of tines that point straight up - then it would be close to perfect.
An additional thing is the lack of a user interface for selecting extended dry or sanitize. The instructions for doing so are quite, um... lame. I've installed the app on my phone, so it's not a problem for us, but I can imagine an older person really struggling to understand the user manual instructions.
So there you go. Thanks for all the fine engineering that you folks build into your products.
