Battery life is awful

I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for years, and this is the first negative review I’ve ever written for one of their products. I’ve had the Watch 8 Classic for over two weeks now, and I regret trading in my Watch 4 Classic, which I used daily for over three years. Even after all that time and usage, the Watch 4 still had noticeably better battery life than this brand-new Watch 8 Classic. This one barely lasts 24 hours on a full charge, and if you use it for sleep tracking, it drains from 100% to around 20% overnight. This is unacceptable for a flagship smrtwatch in 2025.Not recommended. And to Samsung Support: please don’t reply with “troubleshooting,” software updates, or reset suggestions ,I wasn’t born yesterday.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Downgrade from 6 Classic

I really don't like anything about this watch over my 6 classic. Battery life is pretty much identical. The squared outer shell is a terrible design choice and definitely looks bad compared side by side to the 6. The new watch band release mechanism is the worst on any watch I have ever had in my life. The release buttons are atrocious and the connector feels very cheap and unsecure. The only areas where there seems to be any improvement is the GPS and the wifi connection. The 6 classic will constantly shut off wifi to save battery which was always super annoying and this seems to have solved that issue finally. Other than those 2 it is a downgrade in every way
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The good news is this usually only happens if the band or strap is not installed properly, or when wearing the watch improperly, which are both easy to fix. However, the band or strap should be replaced if it's damaged, will not stay attached to your watch, or keeps falling off. Major improvement over the 6 classic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After upgrading from the small Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the new Watch 8 Classic has been a major upgrade. Despite the larger size, the device is much more comfortable to wear, and the design stands out more. The new software features, including additional health data and Galaxy AI, have been the cherry on top. Plus, the battery has lasted around two days on average with standard usage

Looks ugly and still no BP monitor in the US

I welcome all the new health tracking features added (introduced with labs).
Compared to the old models, to me the frame looks ugly! I hate it and thought about returning it multiple times! Keeping it just so I can use the new features and since I am a long term user of Together!
BP tracking is till not available in the US! This might be the last version I use if things don't change.

Great Device!

I like the new watch 8 classic with rotating bezel. I'm upgrading from the watch 5 basic model and I really like the nice bright display. I wish there were more metal color options though. My old watch was rose gold and it went with my jewelry. The watch 8 options definitely don't. I really want to try the galaxy AI but I'll have to upgrade my phone first as it's not showing up in settings. I really like the larger tiles and the way they can be organized.

I thought the galaxy watch 8 would be a bothersome to wear everyday as it’s bigger than my previous watch, but it’s surprisingly comfortable to wear and not heavy at all. The size doesnt seem too big on my wrist even though it’s 46mm. I also love the new features, especially the ‘galaxy AI’ and ‘gemini’.
Overall, i would recommend this watch and am very happy with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited to get the watch 8 but was surprised that I no longer could power share like the older models. You have to plug in the puck, to the phone to charge. Just something else to keep up with. Also Noticed that this watch is more susceptible to magnetic interactions nearby that I never had with the older one. I'll get used to it. So far I do enjoy the watch.
