Small but mighty

I bought this vacuum cleaner because I needed something to replace my old Dyson, and my husband wanted a compact vacuum for quick cleanup. It definitely fit our budget right now and works amazingly well, especially having 2 kids, 3 dogs and 2 cats, it cleans so much hair and dust. I was impressed with how it sucked in the dirt and debris into the machine and right up to the baseboards. My old vacuum seemed to push the dirt away and didn't get nearly as close to the baseboards as this one. Since its more compact I had to empty the canister more often but it's so easy to empty that it wasn't an issue. I also love the cord length and how lightweight it is. It's so easy to carry up and down the stairs making cleaning a breeze and I only need to use one outlet for the upstairs as well as downstairs. The only issue I have so far is it does make a bit of a squeaky noise when I vacuum, but it doesn't seem to affect its ability, so we'll see how long it holds up. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good compact vacuum.

One inconvenience.. the cord wind is way at the bottom of the vacuum, and the cord drags along the floor so you have to hold it up yourself. But overall, a lot better than a heavy large vacuum.

I love the compactness, lightweight and power of this vacuum. It picks up all the dog hair in the house, and dirt too! Just hope it lasts awhile, but I would buy another if needed. I like the way it DOES NOT suck up rugs with loose ends

After my daughter visited with her two dogs, it did a good job of picking up the dog hairs. I also like the fact that you can completely take apart the dirt cup to clean out everything. The weight was a big issue for me as I am 93 and need a light sweeper. I totaly reccomend this wonderful sweeper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love bissell but this vacuum is awful. I bought it because my good vacuum broke and money was tight but I regret it. This vacuum clogs up constantly. And it makes a massive mess to pull it apart to unclog it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I didn't give it 5 stars because it's cheaply made and the places where the plastic parts click together are flimsy and I worry that they will not hold over a period of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upset that my last upright vacuum just recently ceased to function, I knew I was going to purchase a new one online for my home, no matter what vacuum brand I was buying. Bissell was ultimately the most appealing to me during this search because it had a lower-end vacuum (compared to models that are hundreds of dollars) that I could afford, and I had heard positive reviews regarding Bissell through the housekeeping grapevine. My order arrived wicked fast, and the assembly of the vacuum was effortless; a detachable wand was a requisite for me to obtain, and this model delivers. After testing the vacuum out on a minuscule area of carpet, my Bissell suctioned up a wad of debris so large I immediately cursed myself for not buying it sooner and saving myself the hassles of my old vacuum. I cannot speak to how long this model will last, but I am contented with my selection so far!
