Trying a lift off vacuum for the first time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first took the vacuum out to assemble, I was surprised at how small the actual bottom vacuum base was. It’s definitely smaller than my current upright vacuum, and as I have a smaller home and am tighter on storage, this is a win. I did have to assemble the vacuum, but it was super easy and took probably 5 minutes max. I also really liked how the detail/crevice tool was a 2 in 1 piece, instead of having to keep track of two separate pieces. Overall, I felt that it had a rather sleek body for a full upright vacuum. After assembling and starting to try out for the first time, I appreciated the slider where you can adjust for what type of carpet or hard flooring you’re cleaning - our house is 50/50 carpet and hard flooring. As for actual performance - I tried it out first on carpet. Carpet that had just been vacuumed the day before. I did one small area and was shocked at how much dirt and dust was pulled! I also did a quick run on the hard floor in our hallway, and bits of dust and dirt were also cleaned quite well. However, I think my favorite feature was how the body of the vacuum lifted off the base for detail cleaning (using the hose). It’s so much easier to use when cleaning than dragging around a whole vacuum. Overall, I was extremely impressed with this vacuum and excited to replace my old model with a much more functional piece!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am quite pleased with this Bissell CleanView Max Lift Off. It has great suction. The canister size is good. I can vacuum our entire upstairs before emptying. It did a great job on a room I am remodeling. I had vacuumed it with a different device, but when running the CleanView Max Lift Off back over it, it picked up dust and debris the other missed. It did a superb job on our downstairs vinyl flooring. The attachments shine on our carpeted stairs and for the baseboards.
My only con is wanting the corrugated hose to be better integrated with the handle. It comes out from the canister then runs up the handle. There is a clip, but it is still a bit loose.
I am impressed with its first usage throughout our home. I would recommend it to friends and family.

Great Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife gives this vacuum a four-star rating instead of a five because of the weight. She would have preferred to give a 4.5 if allowed. She likes the look/design and says the cleaning power is amazing. It made our rugs and carpet feel and look great. You could really tell a difference compared to our cordless vacuum.

Powerful and versatile vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great vacuum! The parts all snaped together easily and my family put it to work immediately. We have four kids and four cats in our home, so there is always so much dirt and hair to clean up. The CleanView® Max Lift-Off cleaned it all. It has amazing suction (my husband exclaimed “this vacuum really sucks” after using it on the rug in his office) and it easily cleaned up all of the cat litter a rug under our litter box. It has settings for plush carpet and low carpet/bare floor. Both worked very well on our carpets, rugs, doormats, and hardwood floors. The 2-in-1 Dusting Brush and Crevice Tool was perfect for getting under furniture and into corners to capture dust bunnies. One of my favorite features was that the Lift-Off Pod could detach from the foot and be easily carried around. This made vacuuming above my head so much easier to manage. Without the foot, it was light enough for our 8 year old to hold it while she vacuumed the stairs. This vacuum was very thoughtfully designed and will get regular use in our home.

Works great for wiry dog hair and everything else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm obsessed with this vacuum. I got it in April, just in time for my dog's winter coat shedding season. Check out the photo - that's all the dust and dog hair it picked up from my upstairs carpets AFTER I'd already vacuumed the previous day with my old machine! I also like to detach it from the base so it's nice and light but still plenty powerful to reach the stairs, corner cobwebs, etc. Don't worry about assembly - my kids and I put it together in less than 5 minutes.
The only area for improvement is the wheels. I first received a machine with a cracked, broken wheel, and Bissell was great about sending a replacement. It still feels like the wheels are cheaply made, and the plastic might not hold up over the years. A higher quality wheel would be easier to push and less likely to crack.
Altogether, this is a really solid vacuum, not too heavy, and it packs some serious power. Coarse, wiry dog hair is sucked right out of my heavy wool carpet with ease.

Powerful and great swivel, but heavy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CleanView® Max Lift-Off vacuum was a breeze to assemble and use. Straight out of the box it showed awesome power at attacking dirt and dog hair on hard surfaces and carpet. The vacuum is sleek and easy to roll, and my favorite feature was how the body swivels unlike any I have seen before which made maneuvering around obstacles easy-peasy! My ten year-old handled it well and commented on how simple it made his chores. The attachments are useful and conveniently stored on the sides. I did run into a minor issue with area rugs that were not secured to the floor, as the rollers would stop turning until the vacuum was turned off and on again. It also is significantly heavier than the cordless stick vacuums I am accustomed to. I struggled to carry it up a flight of stairs, though it would be just fine for one-level usage. Overall, this vacuum proved mighty enough for my kid and animal-filled household and will be a great addition to our cleaning routine!

Very functional!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I've had a great experience using the bissel. I'd give it 4.5/5 with the only negatives being that it is a little backwards heavy and the suction is not quite as good as some other brands, however it's still very good and not a problem.
So onto the positives, the vacuum is easy to turn, it has an amazing lean action for easy control and swerving around obstacles. It's not hard to push either so as a petite woman with an achey back I haven't found this difficult at all to use.
The attachments are easy to switch between and the initial piecing together of the vacuum was also extremely easy, I did it myself in less than a minute. Emptying the vacuum is also easy and I had no issues taking it off and putting it back on.
I have two cats and this vacuum has no issues with carpet and hard flooring as well as cat hair and litter. I'll be using this as my main vacuum for the foreseeable future along with my cordless.

Sleek and simple, this vacuum defies expectations! I initially thought it would be just another underwhelming model with attachments promising to deliver. Boy, was I wrong! The Clean View Max Lift-Off boasts a power grip suction that whisks away dust like a tornado. My thinner area rugs didn't stand a chance against its mighty suction. While it's not ideal for smaller rugs, it excels on larger, thicker rugs, carpets, hardwood floors, and tiles.
The powerful bristle attachment is perfect for banishing crumbs and debris lurking under sofa cushions. Plus, the wand extension, equipped with either bristles or a flat tip, is a game-changer for reaching those pesky crevices.
The only minor drawback? The hose has limited stretch. If you stray too far while cleaning, it might tip over—I've learned this lesson the hard way while tackling drapes! However, this is more of a learning curve than a deal-breaker.
Versatility is the name of the game! I've used it on hardwood, tile, rugs, and carpets, and it effortlessly suctioned everything in its path. One of my favorite features is the adjustable height setting for different floor types and the option to turn the bristles on or off, making it perfect for various rugs around the house.
