Versatile Vacuum any area of your home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell Cleanview Max Lift-off is a great versatile vacuum for any home! Our home has a mix of hardwoods, carpet, and area rugs. This vacuum worked well on each surface. With 3 kids in our house, the floors getting pretty messy, especially the kitchen. The Cleanview Max Lift-off does a great job sucking up crumbs of various sizes, although I noticed sometimes I’d need to aim the crumbs right for the center of the vacuum to get it sucked up on the first try. It sucked up tons of lint off our area rugs.
I love the see-through canister-no bags!- because you know when it’s full to empty it. Emptying the canister is easy, just release the opening straight over your trash can. The wand feature is helpful for under our baseboard heating registers and in tight spaces around furniture.
On of my favorite features is the “lift-off”! This makes it so easy to vacuum my stairs without carrying a heavy full size vacuum and better suction than a small handheld.
My only complaint is I wish there was an additional On/Off switch was on the wand when using it in normal vacuum mode. I have a toddler who is a little scared of vacuums, so I normally hold her when I vacuum. That was difficult to do with this vacuum because I needed to hold the vacuum in one hand after releasing it from the standing position, then use my other hand to turn on the switch. A minor detail that probably won’t be an issue much longer!

Power packed vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 7 young children who works full time, I need my time to be used efficiently and that includes cleaning. This vacuum is a great way to get the task done fast and fully. Straight out of the box, it was easy and logical and easy to assemble in minutes. All of the parts fit together securely and could be reconfigured with the push of a button. All of the buttons are clearly labeled as well. While it is a full sized machine, it is designed to be as compact as possible so it is easy to move around. I love that when you remove the cleaning head to use the hose attachment (for stairs, etc), it sits flat on the ground and is stable! Makes it so easy to have both hands free and it reduces the weight significantly when doing stairs or other manual jobs. As for the power, we have new carpet in much of our home and I accidentally left the setting to "low pile" while vacuuming my deep pile carpet and I couldn't figure out why it was SO hard to push - the suction was that strong! It was sucking down deep into the carpets like a professional cleaner! I figured out I had it on the wrong setting and then it was much easier to push, but that just shows how strong the suction is. The carpeted area in our main living space backs up to solid wood and the vacuum cleaned seamlessly with a click of the button from the deep pile carpet to the hardwood to clean the crumbs in the kitchen. It is easy to see what you're cleaning up with the clearview plastic on the top of the roller and the dustbin. The cord is also really long; I had no problem in any area of my house with being able to reach everything or being constrained by cord length.
Three areas for improvement are that 1) it's heavier than other models I've used in general (but it packs a punch in power which makes up for it). 2) There is no place to store the edge cleaner on the device, which means I have to carry it with me as I clean the house. 3) Generally it does not do a great job on the edges and I had to use the attachments to clean all edges of the room or against furniture to get everything up. Despite these things, this vacuum over performed for my expectations in the areas of getting dirt, crumbs, hair, debris off all surfaces we tried (low and deep pile carpet, hardwood, and tile), it is very easy to configure for every type of job, and it is intuitive to use. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try out this great vacuum!

Great Function for Pet Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have rabbits, so there is a unique kind of pet hair as well as hay fragments that we are constantly cleaning up. We have had pet vacuums in the past, so I was excited to try this one. I took one sweep down the carpet and checked the container…wow. It picked up so much in just one strip I was instantly impressed. I love that it has settings for carpet and wood/tile as we have all of these surfaces in our home. I loved the wand that detaches and has a small brush perfect for cleaning my vents that are high on our walls. The only feature I wish it had is a light as sometimes it’s hard to see in the corners or on the stairs. I would absolutely purchase this again if I needed a pet vacuum. It is lightweight, has a detachable wand and canister, and is very high powered.

A great addition to any household

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a toddler so having a good vacuum is important to me. This vacuum took me by surprise. I was mind blown by the suction power when using the pet cleaning tool on my couches, dog beds and rugs. It picked up more hair than any other vacuum I’ve used in the past. I used the vacuum on my carpet, rugs, tile and hardwood floors and it seems to get the job done on each. The overall look is sleek and simple, it’s a tad louder than I’d like but nothing too crazy. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I wish it had lights on it. Other than that, this vacuum is perfect for every day use and to tackle any mess your house has to offer!

Solid Pet Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I’m really pleased with this vacuum. It’s well designed, easy to use, and everything from assembly to daily use was incredibly straightforward.
The suction power is outstanding. I have two large dogs who shed constantly, and this vacuum handled the mess with no problem. I was honestly shocked at how much hair it pulled out of my rugs. It picked up hair tumbleweeds around my baseboards with ease. I used it on hardwood, area rugs, and carpet, and it performed beautifully on all of them.
One of my favorite features is the self-cleaning brush roll. With all the pet hair in my house, I usually have to stop and cut tangled fur off the brush, but not with this vacuum. So far, it’s stayed clear with no manual intervention.
The onboard hose is easy to use and great for quick jobs, though it’s a bit short for reaching some areas. That said, the portable canister made getting into high or tight spaces an lot easier. The vacuum is also much quieter than others I’ve used, which I really appreciated.
My only real downside is the small size of the dirt canister. It fills up quickly, especially in a house with heavy shedding, so I found myself emptying it more often than I’d like. The cord length is fine, not especially long, but adequate.
Overall, this vacuum is powerful, user-friendly, and ideal for pet owners. If the canister were a bit bigger, it would be perfect.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and design of this vacuum. I really love that I could detach the body and use the hose attachment. It is NOT cordless but it’s not a huge deal in my opinion. The power cord is fairly long.
So far the cleaning power feels great. The suction is strong and it holds a lot of dirt before you have to empty it out. That was an issue with our previous vacuum- we would have to keep stopping to empty it out before continuing to the next room.
We have used this on thick carpet, area rugs and hard floor (we have luxury vinyl plank flooring). The option for the brush roll is nice. I turn it off when vacuuming the floor.
I think my favorite feature so far is the capability of carrying the vacuum to use the hose attachment. Feels super versatile. Super happy with this vacuum!
I forgot to mention that we have 2 dogs and 2 cats so we are vacuuming A LOT in this house.

Great Corded Vacuum with Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not used a vacuum with in over 5 years. However, cordless vacuums often lack the power needed for debris such as dog hair. I recently adopted a yellow lab and now have A LOT of dog hair to deal with. My house is a combination of hard wood floors, area rugs, and wall to wall carpeted areas.
The vacuum came in several pieces and the instructions were easy to use. The only thing that they didn't show was that you can store both attachments on the vacuum when not using (the instructions only showed one storage area, later I discovered the second area). The vacuum does have a cord and standard cord storage spot. I do wish it had in internal storage area where you press a lever, and it winds it up.
The vacuum is pretty light for how much power it has, and it is very easy to transition from hard woods to low-pile rugs to high-pile rugs. I have a rug in my garage that accumulates a lot of dirt, pine needles, dog hair since it is the first stop before you enter my house. The cordless vacuums I have do not get the rug all the way clean. This vacuum easily removed everything! The 2 attachments are easy to access from their storage areas and equally easy to use. Emptying the canister is similar to other vacuums I've used, you just use a button to remove the section, hold it over a garbage can, and release the dirt straight in. I haven't needed to clean the filters yet, but the instructions indicate that you can wash and re-use the filters which I like better than having to replace them.
I gave the vacuum 4 out of 5 stars because of the way the cord is designed (you have to keep moving it out of the way when you are vacuuming and it seemed somewhat shorter than I would have liked). Also, a lot of other vacuums I have used recently have some sort of light near the front so that you can really see the dirt you are going to pick up, this one did not. The front bottom part of the vacuum is also pretty high, so it is hard to reach under furniture, appliances, etc.
All in all, I would say this a sturdy vacuum with great power to dirt and pet hair, easy to put together and use, but more of the standard bulky design without any frilly upgrades.

Amazing vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this vacuum! I dare to think how much dirt, dog hairs and debris I have left behind with my old vacuum. It is so efficient and very easy to push. My old vacuum was very heavy. The swivel head makes getting into tight spaces much easier. On my first use I collected an unbelievable amount of dog hairs and dirt. My subsequent uses produced much less. That led me to the conclusion that this vacuum is a work horse! I feel very confident that this vacuum is performing just as it should. My only complaint and the reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is the cord placement. It sets to low and if not held up with your hand there is a tendency to run over it, which is frustrating. The canister empties very easily and the attachments are an added bonus, especially for the stairs. There is a bare floor option and it is very easy to go from rug to floor and vice versa. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone and especially if you have pets!
