I love my new AC unit by Frigidaire

8000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit is very quiet yet keeps our 860 square foot cabin as cool as we want it! The unit is not heavy and noisy like the older ac units. It was easy to install, and the Frigidaire install video on UTube helped tremendously!

Great AC Unit, but needs modification.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The AC Unit has performed well. The lack of compressor on-off noise is great. It had a major design flaw, however. When the compressor, which is mounted on rubber feet to allow it to move slightly during normal operation, reached a certain RPM, one of the copper lines attached to it rattled against the inner cabinet producing a very annoying noise. I fixed it by sticking some foam padding between the cabinet and the copper line. Noise gone! This required the removal of the top cabinet, but wasn't too difficult. This error should have been caught during product development and never left the factory in this condition.
