Yale smart lock bluetooth through YaleAccess does not function well, when manually lock the Yale smartlock then the app can not unlock or lock the lock, the lock does not respond to the app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sleek design and feels solid compared to August locks since it's screwed in rather than secured to the door with clip wings. Essentially functions the same and comes with the same wifi bridge. Works well so far and no issues with wifi connectivity. I'm buying another one for my parents!

Installation was simple and the app works as advertised. Plus, it looks nice on the door.

When it works properly it's great. I believe it to be a good product for renters or for folks that don't want to fully changeout locks or have the visual of a "smart" door lock outside their home. I find it often needs to be "rebooted" which is to remove the cover and one of the batteries. If it is in that state and you or a guest don't have a physical key you are locked out with no alternative. The wifi bridge is very problematic and unreliable.
I would recommend this to a friend!
