The HIGH QUALITY SOUND

Extremely nice radio. It looks like a quality piece and not cheap like so much of the plastic radios. The LARGE quality sound is just unreal for its small size.

I bought this for my husband and he likes it. He listens mainly to FM radio. We are in an area that has poor AM reception and this radio is disappointing as far as bringing in AM stations.

Music quality is so important to me

Just got it, but it sounds fantastic. Full bass I didn't expect from such a small thing. I listen to WXGR, the lpfm station I manage, that doesn't come in well on most stereos, and this picked it up fine in my bay window. Don't need anything else for sound for the entire downstairs of the home. Might purchase another for my room upstairs!

Tivoli model one classic FM/AM rad

The soundquality from this radio as FM is outstamding as FM radio, but in my homecountry Norway all official radiochannels no use DAB +. This format is in my opinion is not so good as good FM radio. The reason for This is that to meny radiochannels is splitted in small bitrate streaming. In Norway it is 36 channels. The bitrate is around 80 kbits and This it not good enough for good radiosound. With classical music and jazz it laks a lot of dynamic and clear voices as Soprano voice. How ever DAB + can sounds good, but The minimum bitrate is 320 kbits for realy good sound. If You want that good sound You have to use a nettradio or streamer or a laptop/ iPad with good good earphones. Anyway The classic Tivoli one can be used an ampiwire for a good DAB + radio. I have Several Argon DAB + radios and they are qualiti table radioes as Tivoli and they sounds good. How ever The amliwire in Tivoli one is much more powerful than Argon. So if You have Argon or anthoter good DAB + radio you can connect The line out Jack from DAB + to the aux input on Tivoli model one classic FM/AM radio. The sound is more powerful. Cleaer more detaliled and deaper bass respons.

Simple features. Easy to operate. Exactly what I was looking for. We live in a rural area, and the included FM antenna really gives our reception a boost. Nice sound for a small radio.

Coolest Radio Ever

The Tivoli Model one is perhaps the coolest radio out there. It is a tad pricey, perhaps, but just a little. It seems to me that the newer ones have better pre-programmed EQ than the early ones. The newer ones are bit more crisp on the treble end. I found the old ones, had a lot of bass and not enough treble, especially when listening to talk. Not so with the new ones.But, where the Tivoli Model one shines is listening to music. When you put on the FM and crank it up, it is no longer a table-top radio, it is a great performing hi-fi. It is a single speaker, and no tweeter, but both highs and lows are well defined. It is amazing the amount and quality of sound it produces. You can use the auxiliary position and hook your MP3 or phone to the Model One.I think a tone control would be a welcome addition. However, that would perhaps detract from the minimalist approach that Henry Kloss, arguably the most famous audio engineer of all time, designed into the Model One.
