This will be a Christmas Gift but I had to take it out of the box and make sure it was working well. The price may seem excessive but boy does it sound good and now I want one for myself.

The FM radio reception is terrible. I live right outside Philadelphia, PA, and struggle to tune in WYSP, which is a very powerful signal. I have three much much cheaper radios that catch this signal no problem, but the expensive Tivoli gives me fits.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I ordered this for my buddy to give his daughter. I purchased one for my wife a few years back, so I recommended it to my friend.Well he told me she absolutely loves the sound of this little beauty. I will be recommending the Tivoli to other friends as well. Everything about this transaction was totally perfect!!!

Great sound from a small cool-looking table-top radio. I would say that if you're even thinking about this, buy it. I love it so far. The easy to attach and remove antenna that comes with it works great for weaker stations. I'm glad I didn't buy a separate antenna.Update: I see other reviews saying this radio craps out after a year or so. So far I love mine and it still works perfectly after about 6mo. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed. I live in a rural area. I rarely have to hook up the antenna, and when I do it's just to make ok reception perfect.
