Nice radio

We love the radio. We got the black with silver dials. The cord and antenna it came with were white, which we thought looked funny so we replaced them with black.

Liked it so much I ordered one more to my sister in California. Hated to pay for CA sales tax.Not as good as the "original" KLH Model One Radio of the 60's.

Awesome Sound, Beautifully Simple

The finish on the "box" is simple. I may apply some tung oil to it, or other clearcoat. The radio is a marvel of simplicity. I love the "damped" dial, the old fashioned look, and of course, the great sound (from a single speaker).

A fine istrument

I am very pleased with this receiver, and I plan to give a few as family gifts. The sound is excellent. I listen only to non-commerical radio, including classical music on WQXR, jazz on WBGO, and news / public affairs on WNYC. On all three stations, the sound is quite good. I plan to purchase another one for my office.

Sound was nice but lots of static. Ended up keeping a 20 year old radio that also had no external antenna and came in clear. To bad because otherwise liked it. Should include better internal antennas.
