Excellent sound quality for a small radio, simple and easy controls, compact footprint, and a clean and attractive design add up to a very good value for the quite reasonable price. I also purchased the external iPod interface device and I'm very satisfied with that as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants quality audio in a small room.

Drifts off stations

I bought this radio 2 years ago in order to listen to our closest Public Radio station - we live in a very rural area and the station is about 75 miles away. I was able to get quite good reception with a small rooftop FM antenna.I have had 2 main issues with the radio, which I put up with for a long time. A few weeks ago, I couldn't take it any more, and I replaced it and I am very happy I did.The main problem I have had is that the Tivoli consistently drifts off of the radio station - sometimes it is just slightly, leaving the audio still understandable but with a lot of distortion. It usually takes an hour or less for this to happen. Sometimes when I leave the radio turned on and leave the house, I return a few hours later to find the station has completely drifted away and there is nothing left but a hiss in the speaker. I don't know if this would be less of an issue with a very strong local station, but it is very annoying. It may be my imagination, but it seems to me as if this drifting problem has gotten worse as the radio has gotten a bit older. The second issue I have had with the radio is that it has no way to adjust bass and treble levels. I am not a picky audiophile and am generally using the radio to just listen to news programs, but sometimes it would be really nice to be able to add a bit less bass.On the positive side, the radio is attractive and very simple to use. It does appear to have a good, sensitive tuner, as I am able to pull in the public radio station with no problems, as long as the radio stays centered on the station.I replaced this radio with a Sangean WR-2 which, so far, has far outperformed the Tivoli. The Sangean has a similar looking wood cabinet but is digital and stays rock solid on my station. It also has a very easy to use bass and treble control, and I really appreciate this feature. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased the Sangean unit - hands down, no question about it, it is the better radio, at least for my limited purposes.

I'm from the generation that remembers the original KLH's from the 1960's and loved them. The model one has great tone and perfect for that small spot in the den, bathroom, etc.

I love it ! Sound is good and does not take up much space. I think my grandson is looking closely at it to take over (just like he did with my IPAD).

Better sounding then Bose at 1/3 the price. Did have to purchase a AM atenna for it to pick up AM stations. I have had no trouble with the stations drifting. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good sounding radio in a neat little package.

Absolutely wonderful audio from the single speaker. Great FM reception and fine tuning. I love it! Gave it to my girlfriend as a gift.
