Excellent for sight impaired and delight to the ear!

My dad is 94 years old, blind and very set in his ways. This radio was to replace an airplane cockpit of a boom box that he was always so frustrated with because there were too many buttons - he was often without music and couldn't find stations. This Tivoli is EXCELLENT. He can operate it without coaching, it hooked up to a simple CD player, again without coaching he could use it. There are no extraneous buttons. Puffy liquid embroidery provides the dots that make it possible for him to find his favorite stations. And the sound - oh the sound! I'm a musician. The sound, although mono, is not far off my Bose. I rate this product an all around 5 stars on all fronts.One earlier review stated that anything plugged in the AUX had to be disconnected for the radio to work and that isn't the case with the model we got - perhaps they were listening and fixed it?

Purchased this radio for a bathroom that has a reception problem and had worn out many cheaper models..plugged this one in and it worked like a charm from the beginning...this may cost a bit more than other models, but it is more than worth it....can't figure out why I waited so long to purchase it!! Great Investment...

Absolutely The Best Little Radio Out There

This is the second Tivoli One radio I've purchased. Now I have one for our residence in Florida and one for our Ohio residence.This radio is great. The sound, emanating from one speaker is amazing, but it is assisted by the base coming from underneath the set. The reception is remarkable and can pull in far away stations on FM with great clarity. When you turn on the radio for the first time after you've selected your favorite music station, then stand back listening you'll be amazed at the size of this little dynamo!You'll never be unhappy with your purchase. My first Tivoli One was purchased over a year ago and this one just arrived two weeks ago.Enjoy!

Good sound...okay tuning.

Very good sound from a box this size, very nice stereo headphone output. The tuning started great but degrades quickly, just like any cheap transistor radio. 4 years in and I can barely tune anything in. Stations had wandered across the dial and all compressed in. Had to open it up and adjust the capacitor, blow some compressed air in there...that helped somewhat. They need to go digital with the tuner and the product will be a lot better. Granted I wouldn't have this problem if it weren't that the only 4 quality stations are all within 3 Hz of each other all the way over at the thinking man's end of the dial.

I bought this radio for my office and it is everything others have said it to be. Compact and easy to tune, the sound is very nice. I'm considering purchasing one for my home as well.
