I bought this a month ago and have only used it as a shrubber. It worked great for trimming a small bush which had many 1/4" branches. I have not yet tried it with the shear blade but based on the construction I would envision that would work very well. The only negative comment I have is that the unit does not have a provision or hook to allow the unit to be hung up on a wall hook.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice ergonomic design, fits well in the hand. Very easy to switch between the two blades. A great addition to my yard tool arsenal, it makes trimming my driveway shrubs simple.

I love this tool. We have a gas trimmer but I can not start it. This trimmer you just put the battery in and your ready to go. Does a great job.
