I got this because I thought it would be better, it's not that bright at all, the one I had before was bright because I used my own bulb with the bulb socket. Besides the brightness or even color options its okay, doesn't pan per description.

The combination of outdoor lighting with the security camera is inspired, however there is nothing protecting the camera from being unscrewed, just like a light bulb. The instructions also state state that the camera not be placed in enclosed fixtures, which seems to ensure the vulnerability exists. Some DIY steps can be taken to create a deterrent, but let these words serve as a warning that this light/camera combo does not represent a whole security solution.
