The Wyze Bulb Cam requires an active internet connection to function properly because features like live streaming, event notifications, cloud recording, and remote access all rely on communicating securely with the Wyze servers through the app. Without a stable internet connection, the camera won’t be able to stream video, detect events, or send alerts as expected.

The light bulb would not work.. I could not get the camera to function properly..

Both cameras go off ALL the time. Nothing there. There is barely a detection zone left at either door. Wouldnt recommend.

To help reduce these alerts, you can try adjusting your Detection Settings in the Wyze app:
Lower the Motion Detection Sensitivity.
Enable and customize the Detection Zone to cover only the area you want monitored.
Check Event Recording settings to ensure only necessary motion triggers are selected.
After making these adjustments, test the camera to ensure it’s detecting motion as expected.

Quick and Easy Security. Just twist it in download the app and you’re done. No messy installation. This is one of my Best Buy’s for 2026. It wasn’t crazy expensive and it’s a quality little camera. I love the extra security of the bulb too. I highly recommend it.
We are very happy with our Bulb & BulbCam. Sharp sensitive, catches every thing from deliver trucks to cats in the snow. An Excellent deal. Provide a good discount I'll look for the Solar Cam.
