My New Addiction!

I call this my new addiction. I have a couple of the other bird feeders and I love them. This by far is my favorite! It is easy to take care of and the hummingbirds love it! It’s so much fun watching them and learning what they do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’ve only just sorted out the WiFi extender to get service out to our camera but so far I’m very impressed. I’m in SoCal so we have several hummingbird species and the AI does a good job of accurately identifying species OR filing them as “mystery visitor” if the view wasn’t clear enough to identify, which I greatly prefer to misidentifying the species. I’m sure it’s more touch and go for a seed feeder as there are magnitudes more species visiting/possible, but the hummingbird identification seems good so far.
As for the solar roof, we’ve had some overcast days so the battery is struggling a little and keeping the battery at about 10-20 percent but I expect that will improve as we head deeper into summer. This is a good lesson to still charge it with the cord occasionally.

Nine hardware

The hardware is solid. The software can take an hour or more to update when a bird visits.

I love this. 4 stars because setting up was not intuitive, and I find that even with the solar panel I have to occasionally charge the camera.
I get a good laugh out of the ai bird identification, so far the white breasted nuthatch and the house sparrow are the best - for hummingbirds.
overall one of the best gifts I've ever received.
