Felt unsafe now we don’t.

We got this a couple nights ago.
Easy to install.
We had two men in hoodies try to break into our garage at 4:30 am. A neighbor saw their flashlight in her bedroom window and woke up and that scared them.
She called to tell us or we would have been in bed sleeping and could have been beaten or worse by home invaders.
We got this product and it was easy to install and went right to our phone. We slept better. I’m going out today to get a coupe more for other sides of the house.
It just helped with our peace of mind.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I waited a bit before writing this review because of the last camera I had through another company, I gave great reviews right off and then the issues started. First it's easy to install. Not everyone is super tech savvy so you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out. It comes with absolutely everything you need to install minus a screw driver. It connects to your phone and app, makes it much easier to keep up with. And you don't have to pay extra for it to work. You can connect it to your roku TV and see any movement day or night. Itbis weather proof, so no rain, sleet or snow will cause issues. Long battery life, haven't had to charge it once. And had amazing video quality. Definitely a good idea to have around your home.

Not Winter Friendly

A one star rating because with an operating temperature of -5ºF and if you live in the Upper Mid West, this camera is not going to perform during the winter months where the temperatures often fall below -4ºF. Not only the camera itself but the battery is not going to give you a reasonable duration of performance in that kind of temperature. The wired camera will help with the power problem but still the wired camera also has an operating temperature of -5ºF. I don't even know how you can differentiate the two camera system's camera operating temperature since I am sure the cameras themselves are the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disconnects constantly and it it’s incredibly hard reconnect it, it just complete trash

Double-check that your phone is not connected to a VPN and that you are using a 2.4 GHz connection rather than a 5 GHz network. This camera will not notify you until a second before someone knocks on your door. Does not notify when someone pulls in the driveway. Works good if you watch it live, but if you want to be notified when someone is walking or driving into your driveway, forget it. It’s useless. Not happy and Roku will not refund. Crappy support.

Difficult to use this camera outdoors

Just received the battery version & tried to install. Since the base station must be WIRED to the router & the base station must be within 6 FEET of the camera, both the router & the base station need to be close to the outside wall. VERY LIMITING. Inside cameras connect directly to wifi & these should too. I do like my inside camera. Returning the outside camera.

Your Roku Outdoor Camera only needs to be within 6 feet of the base station during setup and pairing. Once the camera and base station are synced, feel free to more your Outdoor Camera to your desired location—only needing to bring it closer to the base station location if you notice poor connectivity performance.
We'd also like to share that after you successfully set up your base station using a wired connection, you can switch it to a Wi-Fi connection, which will further increase the reach of your Outdoor Camera.
