Honestly would not buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly would not buy again. The touch controls are so finicky and hard to use. Doesn’t register your finger for one, slow press, fast press, doesn’t really matter. More annoying is if water or anything splashes onto controls say from a boiling water pan which happens all the time since the controls are right next to the middle large burner, the controls go nuts and start beeping and shut off. If you wipe the water off, the controls go nuts because you touch the controls; you can’t win. If you set something on the controls, such as a pan or slide a pan over the controls, they start beeping and shut off. In addition the controls are not intuitive. It is difficult to fine tune the heat. The stove top is so shiny as well, it is difficult to see the controls with a light on above it. You think you turned something on and it will start beeping at you and shut off and you don’t know why. Second issue we have is the stovetop is very noisy at times when heating up pans. Not from the pans, but underneath the stovetop a loud buzzing is heard when you use the stove top. I like the induction instant on and instant off, kind of like gas, so that is a plus. But at this point that good feature doesn’t make up for the very finicky touch controls. Last issue is many times the stovetop won’t recognize the pan on the burner so it won’t turn on, just beeps at you. It is the same pan and if you move it to a different burner it will recognize it. The pans are fairly new as they were bought to be used with this stovetop so they are clean. We would rather just have knobs at this point that actually work. Maybe if the controls were on the side or more out of the way, that would help, but I doubt it. For as much as I spent on this stovetop, I obviously really want to like it, but we don’t. It preheats very fast so that is a plus and boils water fairly fast.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best induction I’ve had yet…with some shortcomings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had 3 different induction cooktops. This if by far the best. Even cooking on the combined burner. Consistent temperature on all the burners and accurate temperature cooking on the temperature regulated burners. Fast water boiling. Drawback is the touch buttons which are slow to respond s and turn off burners when they get wet. Overall very happy with the cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Kitchenaid cooktop. It cleans really easily. I also like the ability to use the app. This is so helpful when using the temperature setting. I am able to choose the food I am cooking and it sets the temp for me. I also love how fast it boils! I also appreciate how consistent it cooks things like scrambles eggs! I am a huge fan of induction cooktops!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was different to start cooktop ,but knowing there are 2 modes to cook items,it's been easy. Even better it is easy to clean and that is 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kitchenaid always makes great, high quality products and I have been a longtime loyal customer to many of these products! I like the 5 zones this induction cooktop offers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to this induction cooktop because I was worried about the indoor air quality from my old gas stove and the lack of external venting. I was a bit hesitant to switch, but this KitchenAid induction cooktop is incredible. The technology and function feel like magic. It boils water very fast and feels much safer, both for air quality and burn risks. With kids in the house, making sure they're not breathing in combustion fumes and having the area near the burners stay cool to the touch are both major benefits. The cooktop itself is a good size and has five different cooking zones, including one combination zone, which provides a lot of flexibility for larger meals. It has a number of smart settings (Temp Cook, Simmer, Smart Boil, Saute) that allow for more precise control and even heating, although there is a bit of a leaving curve. It looks great and is easy to wipe clean. I'm extremely happy that we made the switch to induction - it feels like a better way to cook.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted an induction cooktop that has temperature control. I decided to give the KitchenAid a try. IMHO, it's "okay" the Temp Cook only works on frying, if it has any type of liquid it doesn't know what to do. There goes the idea of sous vide. Even frying the temp swings is +/- 8F.
What annoys me the most on the unit is the Even Heat Zone. It's a hit or miss. Sometimes it will sense the other half, sometimes it won't. I have tried it Lodge Double Play and some generic pans that are rectangular. For me the Lodge Double Play was a hit or miss. I tried to tell the customer service that it probably need a firmware with better detection algorithms, but all the want to do is send out a technician to replace it. I just wanted them to push my message up to the engineers.
I also didn't like it didn't have a timer, my old Samsung induction unit had that. 5 burners on a 30" is too crowded. It's nice to have but in reality, you have to have a game plan to logistically place and use all five burners.
Overall, I wouldn't NOT recommend the unit to anyone unless it was heavy discounted; as I did. Temp Cook is more like a gimmick, customer service is horrible and you can get the same features for less from other manufacturers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this KitchenAid 30 Induction Cooktop. The size is perfect for our kitchen and we are glad we replaced our old one . The five cooking zones make everyday cooking much easier, especially when using different pan sizes are the same time . The surface is very easy to clean and only needs a quick wipe , which is a big plus for daily use . The company installed the cooktop, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The cooktop heats quickly and evenly, and the temperature control feels very precise, which helps a lot when cooking different types of meals. We are also enjoying learning all of the smart features, including voice control and the cooking presets . There is definitely more to explore, and it makes cooking feel modern and intuitive. We already have a KitchenAid dishwasher, so this cooktop fits beautifully into our kitchen. Overall, we are very happy with it and excited to keep using it .
