Design Flaw dos not work with any 8" pans

This is the worst appliance ever and the worst customer support. I tried two different brands of induction pans (Green Pan and Circulon). The 8" pans do not get detected on any burners. A service technician came to repair, and spoke with the "Master Technician" at whirlpool. The Master Technician claims that the 8" pans do not have enough ferrous material in the pans. So its a cookware problem. The cooktop therefore is working as designed. I asked to return the item, but since it was install, it cannot be returned. The techician who came out suggested i return the cooktop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, I absolutely love this at first. I was hesitant because it was all touch screen which made me scared and it was a glass top so I was worried about keeping it clean and fingerprints.
But we are having so much fun in the kitchen. My son is my little helper and we have made so many memories. Thanks for this new kitchen top easy to use easy to clean. I would recommend for everyone.

LOVE MY NEW COOKTOP!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded my kitchen and decided to go with the Kitchenaid 36-Inch induction Cooktop and I am so glad that I did. First thing I want to mention is the wipe clean finish on this cook top which makes cleaning incredibly easy, just like the slogan goes, simply wipe clean.
Secondly, love how efficient and powerful this appliance is. Being an induction cook top, that means heat is only generated in the cookware, so there is no heat loss, and a safer kitchen. Also, heats up much faster than your traditional gas stove, boiling water in about 2 to 3 minutes compared to about 8 minutes on a gas stove.
Plus, the Kitchenaid cooktop is a smart cooktop, meaning it comes with a companion app that allows you to control your cooktop and settings from anywhere and anytime.
Overall, this is the best decision we made for our kitchen upgrade. Not only does this cooktop looks amazing but also does an amazing job cooking.

Makes cooking fun again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was constantly struggling to keep a consistent heat with my old cooktop which made cooking meals a chore and burden. I finally decided enough was enough and I splurged on this and man am I happy I did! It holds heat, evenly heats my pans, is incredibly easy to use, looks beautiful and is super easy to clean and maintain. My only wish is that I wish I had gotten it sooner! Definitely recommend!

The cooking performance is great and wood quality. It is easy to clean and it has a mirror like texture. It is easy to install and the installation instructions is. Try easy and require simple equipment. This cooktop has high safety features and it is easy to control the temperature. It has a good variety of options and features. I really liked the simmer option and the cook induction temperature control. It is energy efficient and it saves energy very well. I highly recommend it and I definitely recommend kitchen Aid appliances quality.
