[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First OLED 4K monitor and will not be the last. This monitor is a game changer. All the features you expect in a high end monitor (4k, OLED, thunderbolt support, power delivery) and then add a smart functionality so that you can use your favorite streaming apps or even plug in a gaming system.
I primarily got this because I needed a larger screen for my work but I end up now watching shows/movies as much as I work.
My biggest fear with an OLED monitor is that it may burn with a static desktop background, but Samsung has solved that with better cooling and software updates to optimize and prevent screen burns.
Pros:
- AMAZING screen reflection handling... even in a bright room, there's not reflection from bright objects
- 4k screen is the best
- designed for work: power delivery, thunderbolt, plenty of ports, can sync a Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard to the monitor to use with your computer
- great built speaker
- built in 4k camera
- built in mic

I honestly cannot wait for the next generation of this monitor. I am not sure how this monitor can be any better.

Great All-In-One Device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unpacking and setting up the M90SF was deceptively simple. Assembly took only a few minutes, followed by one or two SmartThings sign-in screens, and my Mac Mini appeared on the display right away. Of course, the real setup came afterward in digging through the menus and tweaking settings. That’s when it became clear just how much is packed into this product, to the point of feeling a little overwhelming at first.
The main menu mirrors the most recent Samsung smart TV layout, so if you’ve used one of their televisions in the past few years, it feels familiar. The panel itself is impressive, with sharp colors and standout HDR in games and media. Samsung chose an anti-glare finish that works well in bright light, even if it adds a slightly grainy texture and softens sharpness a touch. The monitor also uses a redesigned internal system meant to reduce the risk of burn-in.
In practical use, the single USB-C port handles everything for my laptop or Mac Mini, while HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 provide flexibility for other devices. The built-in speakers are loud and better than average for a monitor.
The webcam was more wide-angle than expected, pulling in much of the surroundings, which is helpful or distracting depending on the situation. Image quality is solid in good light, a little grainy in dimmer rooms, but good enough that I didn’t feel the need to connect my usual external camera for everyday calls.
Having the full smart TV lineup of apps and features adds real versatility, pulling together multiple roles into one screen. And while the 165 Hz refresh rate isn’t the very highest available today, it’s still more than smooth enough for most gaming and media.

Ideal monitor for a bedroom, dorm, or den

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smart monitor puts a smile on my face every time I turn it on. Whether I’m enjoying a game, working on my computer, or streaming a show, the QD-OLED panel makes everything look amazing. Even better, the M90SF does it all without a bunch of extra equipment and tangled wiring. I’m using the monitor on the smallest of desks, yet I’ve never felt cramped or limited.
Of course, it all starts with the screen, and there the M90SF delivers in spades. Colors pop, blacks are inky-deep, and HDR contrast is impressive. Gaming is a joy, with the 165Hz refresh rate from my PC looking buttery smooth. Samsung’s AI game genre detection is an interesting concept, but I ended up turning off the feature to avoid sudden changes in my picture settings. Doing so was easy, just a matter of selecting "Original" mode from the monitor’s Game Bar popup menu.
The M90SF’s quality also extends well beyond its gorgeous screen. The monitor’s internal speakers sound surprisingly good, especially after I boosted the bass a bit using the EQ settings. The built-in webcam is great for video calls, and I love that the monitor’s stand offers ample height adjustment, up/down tilt, and even the ability to rotate the screen into portrait orientation.
All told, the M90SF has been the near-perfect solution for work and play in my cramped living space. I would’ve liked for the monitor to come with a headphone jack and/or support for low-latency Bluetooth audio codecs, but those are relatively small omissions in the grand scheme of things.
