I didn't realize until my grill was delivered that the shelves are fixed and not collapsible. That means that I had to buy a large grill cover for a small grill. Also, it only has two wheels on it which are fixed in one direction. So not only do you have to lift the grill to move it, but you can only move it one direction at a time. Aside from these design flaws, it appears to be a good quality grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a fan of Weber. but mistake was made with this model. the handle to lift the cover up and down gets extremely hot to a point of burning your hand. That is why the rating is not 5 star.

This is the second Spirit 2 grill I have owned and have liked, but this one is a quality downgrade. No electric igniter. No cross lighting tube. You have to light each burner by hand. Dangerous! Thinner materials, cheap wheels. I don’t expect this one to go 12 years, like the first one.
