BBQ will not go above 350 degrees no matter what we try.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best BBQ I’ve ever owned. Use it at least for times a week. Easy to clean. Have recommended it to friends. Holds up to our salty air in Nova Scotia. Owned too many BBQ’s to count in my 64 years and wish I had bought one sooner.
Not as solid as the last version. I replaced my 10 year old e200 series grill. This grill is similar, but the old version seemed better built with higher end parts. The sides don’t fold down, so it takes up more space. On the good side, the igniters are better. Also, it seems easier to clean under the burners.
Our new grill works great. However, a bit disappointed that the gravity based tank gauge which was on our previous Spirit II unit (from 2021), was no longer there. Have to find a remedy, as guessing the tank’s fill level is unacceptable. Also, since we don’t have the deck space to accommodate both shelves, there is no longer a side access hole/slot with which to pick up the grill when moving it. Candidly, a net loss vs. the 2021 edition of the Spirit II model. I failed to thoroughly check out the 2025 edition prior to purchasing. Bummer (self-inflicted)!
Great size for a family, couple or anyone that does not have huge family parties. I was able to grill 12 large pork chops at the same time as bread was warming on the top rack. I have used a griddle on one side while grilling on the other side. Versatile! Grill easily cleans up too. You can tell it is quality built and will last a long time.
The mechanism to light the grill does not work well, intermittently works. The storage of the propane tank is not ergonomically correct for ederly people who can not bend or stoop over. If the hose connection were long I would leave the tank outside the enclosure.
