Great indoor camera!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setting up the roku camera was a breeze. Just download the roku smart home app and create an account. Next you will select add device, cameras and doorbells, then finally select camera. Next step you will connect to your wifi. You can only use a 2.4GHz network, a 5GHz will not work. After connecting to your wifi, a QR code will appear on your screen. You will take your roku camera and and point it at your phone to scan the QR code. This will connect your camera to your wifi and app. That's it, you're all set up! The camera quality itself is very clear during the day and at night. We use it to keep an eye on our dog when he is home alone and it gives us a lot of peace of mind to know he is ok and safe. We can hear him and talk to him if we choose. Both my husband and myself can watch the camera on our phones from the roku app. Definitely recommend this camera and would get more to use in other part of our house without hesitation!

Will not connect to NVR

I bought a few of these cameras in hopes of connecting to my current NVR system. I can find the IP address for the camera, but the cameras do not allow a remote connection. No Unif support, no RTSP support. This is a repackaged Wyze Cam v3. However the wyze cam supports rtsp connections.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good camera lousy policy

I hope this gets roku's attention so I can get some money back. The camera as far as video quality is great. However when I purchased it no where did it say that you can only view events in the app with a subscription, I found this out later from an e-mail and the trial expiring. If you do not subscribe and you place the micro sd card in it you have to take the card out and place it in your computer to see events. I know of 6 camera companies that allow you to off of the sd card with no subscription view recorded events that recoded to the sd card in the app, no need to remove the card or do anything special. I have tried to submit a request for a return and it keep saying something went wrong on our end try again. This was on my desktop computer and on my phone and on 3 different browsers and on does not have an ad blocker. I tried posting on facebook and no response. Three days of trying to return them and I am running out of time. Also I should have read the return policy before foolishly purchasing directly from roku as I have to pay the shipping to return them. Honestly I want to do 1 star, but the video quality was good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
