Virtually useless

This camera has a sharp image but unless you purchase the subscription it is virtually useless. It used to take still photos of events, if something moved it made a loud noise, but as of November 1st they stopped that feature so it’s just a live feed. Unless you can monitor 24/7, if something does happen you have no clue because you get no notification.
I would recommend meshare cameras. The price is comparable and even without the subscription they send notifications and record events.

Sound detection issues

Took a long time to finally get connected to phone after an hour of trying over and over again. Does not detect Fire and smoke Alarm sounds like advertised it will detect every sound except the alarm sound.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First, make sure that your Smoke and CO alarms are turned on (they are disabled by default and must be enabled). To do so, click on the settings gear icon in your Camera, then Alarm Settings, and toggle both to the purple "on" position.

Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Roku Indoor Camera must be pretty easy to setup and install. My 75 year old mother isn’t very technologically savvy but she set this up on her own. I’ve seen the picture quality of video recorded with the lights off and it was very clear. I would recommend.

TERRIBLE!!!! STUPID FIRMWARE UPDATE REQUIRED

The stupid firmware required window blocks the entire screen and then when you are out of town and can not watch your i door cameras and then try to update the stupid firmware and does not update and then they want you to delete the app and reinstall and then you do that and it causes the cameras to go offline and then you have to rescan the QR code and meanwhile YOU ARE NOT EVEN IN TOWN!!!
If someone was robbing your home, there would be NOWAY to view who is robbing you!!!
Thats firmware update window is too big and blocks EVERYTHING which is a security breach on peoples homes as there would be now way to identify the people robbing your home!!
The product is GARBAGE!! I will be returning it as soon as I get back home and then going to a company that actually has their products together!!

Garbage

Bought a 2 pack Christmas last year(2024). They will not connect to finish setup for anything.
2.4 ghz connection? Check
Smart Home app installed? Check
Power source? Check
Proper distance? Check
Nothing.
Not just from the cameras, not one response from the "customer service" line.
I would never recommend these cameras to anyone.
Given the complete disregard for the customer, and the absolutely worthless product itself, I will be reevaluating my prior commitment, promotion, and overall enthusiasm using roku products as a whole

High quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera has so many details that are top notch. The camera is so clear and impressive. The sound is amazing. Easy to setup and install. No false alarms. I love the smart sensors. Best of all I can pull everything up while sitting and watching TV or by using Roku voice. My other favorite feature is watching the live stream anytime I want. 2 way audio works with no flaws. Extras like smoke and CO alarms are reliable with five stars in my opinion.

So 1st... I love Roku products and am a long time customer since the very first streaming device. We have a Roku TV in every room at home and several throughout our 2 businesses. I also recently bought the wired doorbell camera.
About this indoor camera...
Installation was a breeze. It took all of about 10 minutes from opening the package, placing it in my desired location and connecting to wifi/Roku account. The picture quality and the detection are great. But the audio... the audio is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!! This device might as well be video only. During playback, the background noise is so loud you can't make out what's being said. Then, when you're talking through the device, the people on the other side can't hear you. It barely sounds like a whisper. I'm actually keeping it but it's definitely a disappointment.
I really wanted to love this.

However, the speaker should certainly be louder than a whisper when using two way audio. We have a few tips! First, power cycling your camera will soft reset your device and reset the connections. This can frequently resolve issues like yours. Next, temporarily move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router. If your audio is improving, it could be indicative of a connectivity issue. Lastly, speaking too closely into your phone's mic may distorted the audio. You may try backing off to about 10-12 inches and speak in a fairly soft voice to see if this makes a difference.
