Can't watch videos on the app without a subscript.

Camera is alright, but the fact I can put an SD card in there but can't watch teh video without a subscription...is a deal breaker. I literally will store these in a box unless someone needs one, but not for security purposes.
Also, need to send it back to repair or replacement? Gonna cost you. They won't pay for you to ship it to them. I'm replacing one that won't scan the QR code. I'd rather have a refund but I'm outside of that window.
DO NOT BUY, go get a Relink or another brand that doesn't require a subscription to watch video from a memory card.

Hello, thanks for your comments. Please know that if your QR code is not visible, you likely need to log out of the app and log back in to resolve.
We'd like to share that, while a continuous recording must be viewed on your computer, if you have a Roku Outdoor Camera SE, you can view a scheduled recording directly in the smart home app. All MicroSD features are outlined here: https://support.roku.com/article/7875140351383. We appreciate your feedback & will pass it along to the team.
Thank you! -Roku Customer Advocate

Started out great, now it just doesn’t work. No one seems to want to help me. Installed a couple months ago, worked great until about 2 weeks ago, now I try to contact them, no one ever gets back to me. Save your money and buy something else, complete joke!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't think they could have made set up of this camera much easier at all. Download the app, connect to your wifi network, scan the QRF code on the camera and it is pretty much good to go once you find a place to plug it in & mount it. Couple things I've noted from installation and after using for a few weeks: there is a big blocky power adapter (voltage adapter) piece in the middle of the cord that you'll have to contend with. If you're mounting this on, say a porch ceiling, and running the cord down the wall to your outlet, you'll need to account for the weight of that & potentially secure it into place somehow so that it doesn't blow around in the wind & cause stress on the power cord. Also it does seem to pick up a lot of changes in light as movement when there really aren't any moving objects. I live on a curve on a highway & if people go around it with their brights on and that light reflects off of one of my barns I get an alert for movement. I haven't been able to figure out how to dial that down. But, I'd rather get a few too many alerts than have it miss something. It takes and keeps a snapshot image anytime it detects movement so you can see what vehicles or people or animals moved through the field of view, and can send an alert to your phone so you can check in on what's going on. I think you can also connect it to your Roku Tv to see what's going on when alerts pop up right on your TV, but I did not set that up because I very, very rarely watch TV. Overall, I'd recommend taking a look a this camera. Set up should be a breeze as long as you know your wifi password!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roku outdoor camera is great, especially, it's a wired camera.
The camera was rather easy to figure out and setup. Our house does not have any windows on the driveway side of the house so it is great to have a camera that can allow you to both see and hear what is happening outside from the comfort of the couch. The fact that it is weather proof is a huge benefit too being in New England weather.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Waste Your Money

Thought this would be a good investment. It's definitely not!!! The camera is right above my garage so I can see my driveway and the street. I can pull out/in my garage and not be seen on camera. Vehicles will appear on the street and have no idea where they came from. But have a flashing light from a decoration and it will catch every flash. Not a good security camera.
